As someone who travels a lot between the Netherlands and Belgium it would help a lot if you could use one app in both countries! It takes me 90min to do my shopping online with Google Translate to English so sometimes I don’t bother because of this is a chore . It’s quicker to go into Jumbo. Other expat foreign nationals whose common language is English also do the same. However, the absence of an English language option is a significant flaw, especially in the Netherlands, where more than 10% of the population are expats/immigrants/refugees or whatever you want to call it. Adding an English option shouldn't be too challenging and would greatly enhance accessibility and customer satisfaction. Zonde van onze lijsten met favoriete recepten. ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2023-10-11* After the last update, it doesn’t load anything. ### 1/5 — Multi purchase problem 1 Star only *2023-08-12, version 8.47* Yesterday at the AH store at Westergracht Haarlem, I was accused of not scanning an item, the problem brought about by the AH app multi purchase button. The store have an offer of 2 Pies for €5.00, I choose 2 pies I Kip and 1 Vlees, I scan the vlees pie and then press the + sign for the second pie so as far as I am concerned I have scanned 2 pies. When I get to the payment terminal I have a security check, the assistant scans the Kip pie and said you have not scanned this I must do a full check of you basket, eventually she completes the scan finding I have a similar problem with 2 Alimof puddings where I have scanned 1 and then pressed the +sign. It was explained to me that I had not scanned two items but I had scanned two items twice so actually everything was correct and that I had scanned correctly but not in the way Albert Heijn needed me to scan. This simple problem caused me a lot of frustration and the AH employee a total waste of time in having to unpack all of my purchases and me having to repack all my purchases, not a good experience, and very embarrassing being told this in the middle of the store. My suggestion is that the + option is removed from the App and this problem would be resolved, everything would be scanned the way AH require to work with their stock control system. As I was leaving the checkout area there was another lady suffering the same problem. Finally I would say I have been using the App for some time and have found it to work very well. ### 1/5 — Do not order delivery from AH *2022-06-03* I ordered delivery after many times of doing so. The delivery person did not come, but said they did . I was home the whole time in front of the bell. They called me from an anonymous number which my phone automatically blocked as spam. But when you compare the app and its benefits to the “jumbo extra’s” app I peefer the jumbo app because you get more gifts and freebies.
