### 4/5 — Please add vulnerable people

*2026-07-20*

Please add vulnerable people to the list of people that can use this app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and rating! We also appreciate your feedback.

### 2/5 — Lack of updating to current alerts

*2026-07-14*

This app is ok for alerts 24 hrs after they are posted. But their website just alerted about a tornado watch for multiple cities and towns and the app doesn’t show anything for the entire province. Super unreliable.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to investigate why the website and app appeared to show different alert information. Please contact us at info@peasi.com with the alert date, location, and device details so our team can review it.

### 2/5 — No sound

*2026-06-27*

I have all my alerts on and set properly, but still no sound. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I actually have to go look at the app. What good is that?

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and we are sorry the sound is not working as expected. Please contact us at info@peasi.com so we can help you resolve this issue.

### 3/5 — Area of alerts

*2025-07-14*

I just received an alert for an area approximately 200 kms away from my location.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry if you are receiving alerts for an area that you are not expecting. Please contact us via info@peasi.com so we can look into this for you.

### 2/5 — Maps

*2025-05-10*

Your maps need to be updated and more interactive. We should have the ability to zoom in and see Lots of detail. Bring your APP into the 21st century.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. We will share your feedback with the developers.

### 4/5 — Updates

*2025-05-04*

Need more updates on current alerts.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and rating! We will share your feedback with the alert issuers.

### 4/5 — Tornado warning for Nanton

*2024-07-13*

The warning came while the storm was in town not before. I realize some of these weather systems happen quickly and I do appreciate having this warning system in place

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and rating!

### 2/5 — Need more info & updates

*2024-05-12*

Hello!
1) Perhaps I’m not not looking in the right place, but as someone who does not live in Alberta, I need more detailed information on maps.
You name a ‘general area’ (ie. Wood Buffalo) but seeing the red area on the map isn’t helpful to me, as I don’t know where towns and cities are located!!

2) Updates are way too slow- ie. Today is May 12, 2024, but the last update for a Critical Area was at 5:13pm YESTERDAY. Hourly updates would be much more useful - especially in critical conditions.

3) Maybe the following information is included on the Dashboard on the Alberta Wildfires page, but personally, I find that page a little confusing and includes too much information that’s not relevant or important at that moment to the people in the affected areas. It takes (me at least!) way too long to navigate through the page. I want something fast & simple that I can see as soon as I open the map. Besides the names of towns & cities, (and wildfire identification number), two things I WOULD like to see on the map (especially in the critical areas) are:
  a) In every hourly update, outlines on the map showing areas that the fires have moved through in one colour, impending immediate threat in another colour (red), and potential areas of concern in another colour.

b) Along with that data, the current wind speed and direction in the outlined area, as well as the estimated spread rate of the fire would be VERY helpful.
That would allow people to visually track how fast the fire is moving, amd make them aware of sudden changes in wind speed and direction.
(ie. Is the following formula for calculating spread rate what is used by officials?

Measurement used for critical areas is 10% of the Windspeed?
So:
50 km winds= spread of (roughly) 5km/hour.
So if a fire was 25 miles away, an ‘estimate’ (in critical/dry conditions) would be that the fire would be upon you within 5 hours.
If that IS a relatively accurate ESTIMATION tool (I believe research has deemed it to be so), it would provide people with another tool that would help them prepare for evacuation.
However, I DO realize that wind speed & direction can change drastically without warning, (as we have sadly witnessed in the past) so I think it is imperative that this is CONTINUOUSLY EMPHASIZED in every update.

Just my thoughts and opinions on what would make the map/app more beneficial for me personally, and most importantly, I believe for residents of Alberta!
Thanks! Patti

### 2/5 — AB wide?

*2024-05-08*

I get an alert at Beauvais Lake saying I am no longer in the area

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. I am sorry you are receiving an alert you no longer want. To make sure that you are receiving alerts only for your preferred areas please go to settings and then press "Location". This will show a list of the areas you are following and you can either add or delete locations.

### 4/5 — Good app to have

*2024-05-08, version 3.10*

Great app to have, only thing I’d like to see change is what alerts are put in there. The Saskatchewan alert app literally gives every alert possible. Like severe thunderstorm warnings. If the Alberta app can be updated to show all the alerts like the Sask one does, it will get five stars from me. As a storm chaser being able to get all severe thunderstorm warnings would be a+

### 4/5 — Why

*2024-01-14, version 3.10*

FIRE WHO SENT THAT ALERT

### 5/5 — Jamie

*2024-01-02, version 3.10*

### 5/5 — Tells me the truth

*2023-12-22, version 3.10*

### 5/5 — Wow

*2023-11-20, version 3.10*

It is very good

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — An emergency alert for me all the way outside north of Edmonton, but for Calgary? Come on

*2026-07-19*

Seriously need to adjust the emergency alert radius and notifications. There is no reason for an update. I know this is support for the app, but still this is ridiculous. There needs to also be different sound notifications for amber alert vs an actual emergency that would actually impact a population. My sympathies to the amber alert but come on.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concerns about alert relevance and notification sounds. Please contact us at info@peasi.com so we can help review your settings.

### 1/5 — Does this do anything?

*2026-06-29*

Does this app do anything anymore? It’s been dead silent all summer.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Please contact us at info@peasi.com so can look into this for you.

### 1/5 — No contact & questionable settings

*2025-06-15*

[I took screen capture, but I can't add them here.]

Within the application settings, the type of alerts and options include avalanche, earthquakes, road conditions, air quality… But I don't see tornadoes.

Is there a different alert system for this? You would think it would be on here? No answer, because when I try to press the "contact" link below "frequently asked questions," the link is a dead end and does not bring me anywhere.

In addition, I tried to go onto the App Store, click the link, there, for app support, but it just gives me the Alberta government website with no clear direction on how to reach anyone in regards to the app. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Has this app been discontinued in Alberta? No idea.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Tornado alerts are not options in Settings and will always be sent through the app. Please contact us at info@peasi.com if you need further assistance.

### 1/5 — Unread vs read alerts

*2025-05-29*

I have checked the box so I am only supposed to see unread alerts. The alerts do disappear when I read them but I then exit the app and when I reopen, all the read alerts reappear I. The unread list.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Please contact us at info@peasi.com so we can resolve this for you.

### 1/5 — It’s 2025 not working

*2025-05-07*

App still isn’t working. Please fix it or advise people to go to your website for updates!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Please contact us at info@peasi.com so we can help you resolve this issue.

### 1/5 — Maps

*2024-05-11*

Make the affected area maps useful. Show details about the fire, not just county boundaries.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and we are sorry that you don't find the maps useful. We will share your feedback with those who issue alerts.

### 1/5 — I tried to put in my address but..

*2023-07-27*

It will not fricking load so stupid 0 stars I hate this.

### 1/5 — Waste of Alberta Taxpayers Money!

*2023-06-11, version 3.9*

This is the absolute worst emergency alert system on the planet!

You may as well wait to see the flames for all the app shows you!

It doesn’t tell you where the fire is, what direction it’s heading, how large the fire is, what speed it’s travelling, etc…

For all the technology we have, maybe someone that knows about it should have designed the app or maybe you should have gotten a 5 year old to design it because they could have done a better job!!!

### 1/5 — Very confusing to use

*2023-05-18, version 3.8*

App gives bad or outdated information

### 1/5 — Poor

*2023-05-14, version 3.8*

The quality of the app is poor the alerts are often times not visible and even as I’m typing I can’t see my text it’s a bit buggy

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Thank You For Sending A Message About Calgary Emergency Alerts

*2026-01-17*

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and rating!

### 5/5 — Alberta Emergency Alert App

*2025-08-16*

This Alberta Emergency Alert app is pretty helpful of sending emergency alerts and warnings in your city and your cities surroundings in the Alberta area but it can get somewhat annoying when it’s sends alerts constantly but that shows of how good this app is and of how helpful it is. The most thing that annoys me if that when your wearing headphones the alerts is pretty loud when listening to music with high volume, their should a be way to adjust the volume of how loud or low you want the sound of the alert to be in the Alberta Emergency Alert app settings.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and rating! We will pass your feedback on to the developers.

### 5/5 — Weather Alerts

### 5/5 — very helpful

*2024-07-09, version 3.10*

I like that Alerts lets me know what is going on around me. and that it can follow me too let me know what is happening where ever I’m at
Thank you Alerts

### 5/5 — Thanks.

*2024-06-11*

I appreciate very much your updates. I consider the communication since the catastrophic water main event to have been excellent. I’m a very ordinary Calgarian, although I don’t watch TV news. I rely on my phone and computer to update me. I know a lot about this issue through your YouTube presentations and alerts through these up dates. Thanks for keeping me informed. Thanks.
It been easy to follow your rules regarding water use, as has most uncomplaining quiet Calgarians.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and rating!
