A drivers license should be next. So many countries do it and Alberta should be the first in Canada. The poor execution is in verification codes. It worked well for a while. Now I never get one no matter how long I wait. My information is correct, but the wait for the code continues. Perhaps passkeys might be a better way to go. I added one of my children, no problem. However, the other one won’t add to my Alberta Wallet. I’ve tried it several times and made sure all the numbers are correct. Hopefully this gets streamlined in the near future. Additional digital documents are coming in the future to the Alberta Wallet app. ### 3/5 — Modern signin missing *2025-08-30* The concept is admirable. But, why develop a separate wallet app for 1 card??? Is it a power thing? Why not create a version of the card that can be put into Apple Wallet? If you’re going to keep a separate wallet, at least let me sign in using touch or Face ID. Having your enter a password EACH TIME I open the app does not make it faster than than using a physical card. You can do better. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. I access my Alberta.ca account via the Google log in, which is not even an option in this app. ### 2/5 — Not very convenient *2026-08-20, version 1.9.0* I would say most people already have a digital wallet on their phone (either Apple wallet or Samsung) so it’s not very convenient to have to go into a different specific app just to assess one card - your Alberta health care card. I’d rather just have a plastic card until they figure out how to add your Alberta Health Care card (and maybe your Alberta drivers license?) to your phones built in wallets. ### 2/5 — Security Does Not Always Work *2026-08-11, version 1.9.0* Fun app when accessed. Needs work on pics. Need to be able to turn off dumb downing icons and images during navigation.
