For example, when I substitute an item that has a higher price, the app will automatically go take the extra funds from my bank, but when I choose not to sub an item or substitute for a lower costing item, there is no option to be refunded automatically for that item. Then, at the end of that purchase my receipt will say I was charged less, when in reality, my bank was charged at the beginning of the shopping so I am actually paying for something I never got. I am not sure how beneficial the new meal planning features are for all of my menu planning and grocery ordering, but it could be a great tool! The Home Screen feels really busy to me, but I was still able to navigate more easily than ever on the previous app. Some of the “busyness” seems to come from additional tools that helped me to utilize the deals and discounts already available to me, which is a great trade off, so I probably shouldn’t complain about it. ### 4/5 — Better UI, Worse Coupon System *2026-05-20, version 2026.13.0* This app is a lot faster than the old Shop Albertsons Market one (no more loading screen every time you click anything). But the fact that all the coupons now HAVE to be clipped DIGITALLY instead of applying automatically in store really annoys me. I have prescriptions I need to manage and can’t access ANYTHING. I’m stuck in a perpetual loop of each app sending me to the other app over and over and won’t let me get past that. So there is no real Albertsons app currently. They put the money as “Albertsons Cash” which can only be used online. This has happened more than 2 times so I won’t be using anymore ### 1/5 — New app doesn’t work *2026-07-13, version 2026.21.1* Every time I go in store I get an error their server isn’t working. Every time I try to make me a list I get an error msg but sometimes it does make the list and clip deals, which is useless bc the app won’t open in my store ### 1/5 — EBT option doesn’t work *2026-07-11, version 2026.21.1* Says will take to outside site to enter EBT PIN number but when you click continue nothing happens or says error occurred please try again. I tried Chrome and Safari. Pop up blocker is off and I cleared caches. Update: July 11 Issue is still not fixed. Cannot use EBT for online orders. I had to call support again. I was on the regular shopalbertsonsmarket.com website this time on my desktop. Tried multiple browsers. What a pos ### 1/5 — Sub Par *2026-07-01, version 2026.21.0* I has an issue with my very firdt order through the app. When I called the store to make the correction, the staff acted aloof and dismissive. Once logged in, anything you attempt to do results in errors. Also, the workers in Albertsons have stated how much less the POS (aka piece of $h’t) allows them to see or do. WIC is no longer available for them to see which item qualifies. I don’t personally need this because I use the app, however, their is always going to be that less than tech savvy Karen who is going to ruin their employees and customers day by being all righteous.
