What's new in 1.2.0

Teachers can message you
Instructors can now start 1-on-1 conversations with students in
their classes and the parents of those students, and create group
chats bounded to a class.

Cleaner chat
• Images and documents without a caption now appear directly in
  the conversation — no more bubble chrome
• Emoji-only messages show up big, WhatsApp-style
• Links automatically become tappable

Better announcements
Announcements can now target intensive tracks inside a session
(like "Spring 2026 Accelerated"). When the main session is
targeted, students enrolled in those tracks are reached
automatically. Authors can hand-pick specific recipients alongside
role / level / group filters, and the compose flow is now a
three-step wizard with a live preview.

Faster new chat list
Starting a new conversation is smoother: infinite scroll (no more
50-person cap), filter by role (Instructors, Students, Parents,
Coordinators, Admins), and sort by name or most recent.

Send to multiple
Instructors, coordinators, and admins can send one message to
many recipients as separate private 1-on-1 DMs — with image or
document attachments.

Plus dozens of smaller improvements and bug fixes throughout the
app.
