Oh wow! I just found some canister root, besides tea, what can I make with it? Or I need something to fight off disease, what ingredients do I need to make a cure disease potion? As far as leveling, with the stuff I have, what will help me level up the most? It’s all there, in spades! This one of the most used apps I have. Specifically that you can select an ingredient, tap the effect, and have it show all ingredients that share that effect. This makes brewing potions with multiple effects nearly effortless. This app is the best. ### 5/5 — Fantastic *2018-01-24, version 3.3* The best app I've used for alchemy, it has both effect and ingredient searches. ### 5/5 — The perfect game companion *2018-01-06* This takes the guesswork out of alchemy and enables you to level up quickly. I essentially have unlimited gold by a) buying all potion ingredients from vendors, b) crafting expensive junk potions just for selling, c) selling them the potions to get all my money back plus theirs, d) fast travel to a far away city, e) repeat. The best part of the app is under "Sell" you can click on the recipe and deduct the ingredients from your inventory as you craft, and resets the potion list. This saves me so much time! I can now spend my time on more quests than extremely time-consuming character improvement. ### 5/5 — Great app to start, play, and max Skyrim *2018-01-01* I love this app. It shows you how to make gold by crafting potions. While crafting, you gain experience. While selling potions, you gain experience. So, you gain a lot towards maximizing your character build. It is user friendly and actually was built to help you with the experience of wealth building. It was also built to help you craft the potions you need to adventure. The app tracks your inventory and can remove ingredients with the click of a button to keep your inventory accurate. It can handle multiple characters simultaneously, so try it with a new character or an old one. Thanks man! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hot garbage *2021-11-27, version 3.3* Overly tedious and doesn’t work. Don’t expect to be able to input your inventory and have an output of a list of recipes. I wasted too much time on this. ### 1/5 — Unusable due to small effects ui *2020-12-30* The ui sort by effect (where I input effects and the output is the ingredients necessary to make the given potion) is so small and Un searchable, I cannot use the app for the primary reason I got it. ### 1/5 — Since update to v3.0 this app crashes at lot *2013-01-12* Talking of features and usability, this app is sweet. It is practically indispensable if you want to really get into alchemy in Skyrim, or build a overpowered character. Sadly, however, v3.0 is crashing a lot. I have two iPad2s, one with iOS 5.1.1 (English) and one with iOS 6.0.1 (German). On iOS 5.1.1 (English language) the app seems to be pretty stable. On iOS 6.0.1 (German language) it is literally unusable, as it reliably crashes all the time. The same problem existed on this iPad2 on iOS 5.0 before updating to 6.0.1. The root cause seems to be the language setting. Switch iOS to English language and the app works. Switch to German and it crashes. Therefore, while I love the app and would easily give it 5 stars, I absolutely hate the crashes of v3.0. I dearly hope for a timely update which fixes the problems. ### 2/5 — Not worth the money. *2014-09-30, version 3.2* I don't think it's worth buying, seeing as there are much better programs/calculators online. If you (tediously) enter in the ingredients you have in your inventory, it will still show all of them when you go to the calculator or planner section. Not to mention all the ingredient values are automatically at 1 when you use the app for the first time, you'll have to change them all to zero if you don't have the ingredient. You also have to manually change the values -1 unless you are doing the alchemy specifically for money, which I do not. I simply want to find the characteristics of every ingredient. Then focus on money. I suppose this would be a great app if you already know every characteristic of every item and hoard your ingredients for a long time then binge on alchemy usage. Otherwise, I'd suggest using an online calculator or looking the ingredients up on the Skyrim Wiki. ### 3/5 — It’s ok *2020-03-10* Not as useful as it seemed, would have been nicer if free. App does have tips for maximizing xp and gp, but those are available through free sites online. I tap ingredients and filter to remove ingredients with zero inventory... and I still get potions I don’t have ingredients for. Better online resources for free. ### 3/5 — Awesome App but PLEASE UPDATE! *2017-05-09, version 3.2* I love this app, it is easily the best one of its kind out there. However it no longer works properly without an update for the newer iOS. I am constantly having to re-select the correct perks and correct my inventory while making potions. I'm giving 3 stars but I will come back and give it 5 after a new update. Thanks ### 3/5 — Not bad so far *2013-08-31, version 3.1* The app seems like a great idea and it lets you put in what you have and tells you what spells you can make. The inventory system has a fatal flaw though. I was putting in my inventory and accidentally hit the minus sign at the top, and my entire inventory was wiped out.
