### 2/5 — Was great when it worked

*2026-04-21, version 1.7*

Needs an update. It was great until it suddenly stopped working. Would be 5 stars if it still worked

### 3/5 — Missing great potion

*2025-06-13, version 1.7*

It’s okay but doesn’t have a potion for giants toe and wheat which is a great potion with nothing in alchemy it’s like 420 if you add creep cluster it’s almost 600.

### 4/5 — Needs Update For Anniversary Edition

*2022-01-30*

There have been around 50ish new ingredients added to Skyrim with the rare curios, would be very helpful if there was an update for this as the fourth DLC option.

### 4/5 — Useful as a free app but missing the most expensive potions

*2021-10-22*

This was the Skyrim alchemy app I used for the longest time before I decided to actually pay for one.

The UI of the app is great and befitting with the game itself. Easy to navigate with sections for potion and ingredient effects as well as a direct link to the Fandom page for the most up to date info.

There is a potion creation section to input your current inventory to see what potions you can craft. You can also filter the type of potion you want to make.

One big caveat is the recipes included in the app are maxed out at ~500 Septims which misses off the most valuable potions e.g Giant’s Toe recipes. This could optionally be a bug but there doesn’t appear to be an update for this as support but the developer likely has ended.

All in all a decent free app for alchemy to help you level and grasp the basics in a graphically appealing interface. However for those looking to maximise their profits and levels from alchemy they could benefit from an update or the use of alternative apps/sources for this purpose.

### 4/5 — Seems useful

*2021-05-05, version 1.7*

This seems useful, but some ingredients are missing.

### 4/5 — Needs a quantity tool

*2019-06-21*

This app is really good, but I find it a little irritating that once I run out of an ingredient, I have to go through and manually deselect that ingredient from the giant list. Other than that, I love it.

### 2/5 — Gets the job done...sort of

*2019-03-02*

I downloaded this app and used it for a couple days but then realized that it was missing some ingredients such as Salmon Roe and some other rarer alchemy ingredients, so I had to just use a website online that has all ingredients and also has a much better user interface. With this app the UI is not very user friendly, the buttons are very susceptible to accidental clicks when you’re scrolling and the scrolling is much too stiff so when combined you have to scroll a lot more than you would like to just to select your whole inventory of ingredients and then you have to scroll through again and check for any accident clicks. All in all, it works for basic early-game alchemy but once you start getting into more rare ingredients you’ll have to find something else to use.

### 3/5 — Sage

*2019-02-17, version 1.7*

Pretty Good

### 3/5 — Useful app but could use better wording

*2019-01-06*

What does it mean by neck chest arms and fingers

### 2/5 — Doesn’t give you most valuable potions.

*2018-12-09*

It still works well as a grinding aide but it doesn’t give you the 1000+ Septim giants toe potions or the garlic, Nordic barnacle, salmon roe it just lists as a 450 Septim ish potion when it’s actually more expensive. Is this a bug?

### 4/5 — 17!?

*2018-09-17*

Why is this app a 17+ I haven’t finished downloading it but why a 17

### 5/5 — Very helpful, but....

*2018-09-03*

You should have an option that adds the rare curios creation to the ingredients

### 2/5 — What a downgrade!

*2018-07-02*

I used to be able to see the compatible ingredients for a specific potion by clicking on the potion name from the main ingredient page, now I have to do a back and forth between 2 pages to gather the information I need, or balance using the app on 2 devices. Waste of time and effort!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2018-04-21*

I have a Breton alchemist thief and this is great for making expensive potions worth lots of gold and it has an giant list of ingredients so you don't have to eat ingredients to find out what they are

### 3/5 — Une traduction

*2018-04-18*

Une Traduction française ça serait pas mal

### 5/5 — Perfection

*2018-01-20*

This app it’s perfect

### 5/5 — Vraiment super

*2017-12-16*

Bravo, belle application

### 5/5 — Easiest way to level up alchemy

*2017-11-05*

This app is such a time saver. I can't imagine playing Skyrim without it. I use it to level up the alchemy skill quickly by making useless but very valuable multi-effect potions. It's very easy to use: you tell the app what ingredients you have (there's no nonsense about inputting *how much* of an ingredient you have--you just tell it whether you have it or not); it tells you what potions you can make. By default it gives you the most valuable three-ingredient potions you can make, but you can change various filters, like "only two ingredients" and "only beneficial effects". The way I use it, every time I come home from an adventure, I only tell the app what ingredients I have a LOT of and can afford to spend, like bear claws and blue mountain flowers, I make five to ten very valuable multi-effect potions (usually with both beneficial and harmful effects) to gain one or two alchemy levels, then go sell them and level up speech a bit. This way, I save the rarer ingredients to make potions I actually plan to use.

God, I hope this app still works with newer versions of iOS. :-(

### 5/5 — Useful

*2017-10-03*

Easy, straightforward and nice to look at. Exactly what I was looking for.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t include DLC ingredients

*2021-11-25, version 1.7*

Please add the 17 new ingredients by the new DLC’s. Maybe even the new ones from anniversary edition.

### 1/5 — Pretty ok

*2016-11-03, version 1.7*

I still like the other one better where you can get a sell list to help level up skill and make lots of gold.

### 1/5 — Real 💩💩💩💩

*2016-09-15*

Real 💩💩💩💩

### 1/5 — Nul

*2015-09-09*

Ne fonctionne pas , se ferme toute seule après avoir était lancée ...

### 1/5 — Dont even look at this APP

*2014-01-29*

Just a waste of your time dont download!!!

### 1/5 — C et quoi 7 💩👎👎

*2013-04-10*

nul ail de poison bleu mdr

### 1/5 — Nothing to see here

*2012-12-02, version 1.5*

Based on the images, this app would be awesome. The images are however from the full purchased app. Don't waste your time, there is nothing here of value.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2012-11-24*

This app is awful DO NOT buy it tells you nothing about potions

### 1/5 — Gay

*2012-08-02, version 1.5*

0 star don't get

### 1/5 — Useless

*2012-05-16, version 1.5*

This app has no point. There is nothing to do. It practically just shows you the ingrediance and the potions. Then you have to actually buy the one that shows you how to make it. JUST LOOK IT UP ON THE ELDER SCROLLS WIKI

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good But Missing Ingredients

*2023-02-16*

Very good, clean app that’s easy to use. You can add or remove ingredients without much trouble and I like that it automatically sorts by potion value. The only issue I’ve run into is that it doesn’t have all of the ingredients found in DLCs or later versions of the game. It’s not a big deal, but I play AE so it can be a bit of an adventure sometimes.

### 5/5 — By The Nine!

*2023-01-10*

I’ve had this app for a while and it’s a blessing. It’s simple too. I always go back to this when I find myself in Tamriel.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2022-10-23*

This app is useful however it would help if the ingredients from Anniversary Edition was added too at some point. But even if they are not it is still a great app and still deserve 5stars.

### 5/5 — easy to use once you figure it out!

*2022-08-10*

the other app i was using got complicated out of nowhere— i like how simple this is to use and how you can sort through what potions you want to have! and it’s completely free. no ads or anything either.

i also really like that i can go through types of effects and what ingredients i need for them, and it pulls up the wiki to further help find those ingredients. it also keeps your inventory, even if you close out of the app.

underrated, deserves more reviews to boost the downloads :)

### 5/5 — Die Beste Skyrim Alchemy App!

*2022-07-07*

Wunderschönes Design, mit Liebe gemacht und in Deutsch! Chapeu an die Entwickler!

### 5/5 — well rounded and easy to use

*2021-12-25, version 1.7*

i love the lore-friendly design and many features, namely one: selecting what is in my personal inventory and showing the most ideal potions i could create with those ingredients

### 5/5 — Easy, extensive, and free!

*2020-07-26*

It’s easy enough to remove ingredients as I use them up. Filters include # of ingredients, value, # of effects, purity, specific effects, or just let it show you all possible potions. So much easier than pulling up my notes or an online resource, as it remembers from my previous use what my ingredient inventory was.

You can find ingredient details and a link to the UESPWiki for each. There’s also info on all possible potions and a wiki link for those. Dawnguard and Dragonborn ingredients are optional.

It’s everything I need to simplify crafting potions, making money and/or making sure I’m ready for that next encounter. Bonus: it is ad-free. Thanks and well done!

### 5/5 — This one is the best for me !

*2020-01-02*

I pick up and drop off this game like every year, and out of all the available alchemical guides, this one is exactly what I needed, easy to understand, and aesthetically pleasing !

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2019-06-29*

Great and handy app that does exactly what you need. So much easier than constant google searches for the answers to alchemy. Very nice look to the app.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2019-02-12*

If I’m doing alchemy, I have this app open. Saves a huge amount of time, especially if I’m looking to make a potion with very specific effects. Highly recommend.

Only criticism is lack of an *add all* button to ingredient list in lab, would help with experimenting.
