Support is good too 24/7. ### 5/5 — Needs work *2019-04-25* Future order feature is crap. Date doesn’t print on tickets. No way to look up future orders by date in recall. Future orders are counted as sales on the day they were ordered, not date due. Also ticket splitting is confusing and could be a lot easier. The modifier system doesn’t allow you to add a mod that isn’t already assigned to an item. **Developer response:** Since there is no information about your store, we assume you are simply evaluating and have not really delved into the in and out of the app. If you are a live user, feel free to contact our 24/7 free live support for more in-depth assistance. The following is a recap of your concerns: 1) We don’t currently support future dated orders at this time. 2) Split order is actually extremely easy, you just need to assign seat or guest to the item. When you need to split just click Split By Seat. 3) Modifiers are custom tailored for each item to increase productivity. You wouldn’t want Bar modifiers show up for entree orders in reality. Love it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Faulty equipment, Software Glitch’s, and Breach of Contract *2025-10-20* Our experience with Aldelo has been extremely disappointing. Their PAX credit card readers, repeatedly malfunctioned - often, double charging customers or using the same card to close a completely different ticket hours later under another server name. This was not user error. It was a serious flaw and their hardware and software. I had to personally refund many customers out of pocket absorbing both the financial loss and damage to my restaurants reputation. Aldelo admitted that their terminals were faulty and that they required updates or replacements, but they never fully resolved the issue. To make matters worse when I ended service because of the ongoing problems, I was charge an early termination fee that directly violated the terms of our signed contract. Despite less than 12 months remaining, which for the agreement should have been a $250 charge for early termination, I was charged $500 and they refuse to correct it. Between the faulty equipment, constant system errors and their failure to honor the contract they sent me and we both agreed on, I cannot recommend Aldelo to any business that values reliability or integrity. ### 1/5 — New update messed up our pricing!!! *2025-08-13, version 2.2.7* This was working well but an update happened and now the rounding for the cash discount ruined our pricing. If we sold a $10 item it would charge 4% for a card transaction and they would pay $10.40. However now with the new calculations it screwed everything up and if paying with cash it will charge them $9.98. We live in Oregon, no tax. This is a HUGE inconvenience I hope the developers are smart enough to go back to the calculations that WORKED! ### 1/5 — Auto updated *2021-12-02* Aldelo auto updated their systems last night cause our restaurants kitchen printers to print at a 45 font. Good luck with tech support they’ll have each printer broken before they give up. **Developer response:** Not really sure what you mean by auto update causing 45 font. There was no new update 3 days ago, nor there is a 45 font feature. If you are in need of any services, our 24/7 live support is just a call away. Holding ticket problem. Double sending tickets .credit card machine problem.connection issue......and it always happens at the super busy time. Never ever use it or recommend to your friend ### 1/5 — Horrible service *2020-09-14, version 1.7.5* Stay away from this company.during this COVID crisis every vendor I have except these guys were willing to work with me. They want to continue charging me for services while being closed or charge me $1,950 to close the account. Everyone else just extended the contract for the time closed. ### 1/5 — Awful in so many ways *2019-12-28* Split ticket function is terrible. No in house tender options. Reports are inaccurate and cc funds might be deposited today, tomorrow, or the next day. It’s an adventure with aldelo and I highly recommend this software if you enjoy not being able to accept credit cards for half an hour because you hit the 28 hour batch limit. Their “24/7 support” will work tirelessly to help figure out how any issue is your fault and not their software. It’s exciting every time an update comes out I can look forward to new an unusual error messages. Also- their support can’t do anything related to finances (including fixing the PAX device they sold you) outside mon-fri 9-5. Restaurant software. Business hours only. Highly recommended if you want to lose your whole staff and several years off your life. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear you had technical concerns. Our split check function is actually rather simple, you just click settle and click the split button. In regard to 28 hour batch hold, that’s because the current batch had not closed yet. To avoid batch hold, you can easily setup the auto batching feature under settings. Finally, as you know deposit of your funds are based on when you close your batch. The acquiring bank for whom you have the merchant services controls the funding schedule. Typically you will see deposits every banking day (Monday - Friday), but again if you did not batch close it will delay the funding. If you should have any further questions, feel feel free to contact our 24/7 live support techs any time. ### 1/5 — Customer service horrible *2019-10-13, version 1.6.1* If you need help. Expect at least an hour of wait on the line! It’s getting too much! Every time you have an issue, go figure. Customers getting upset, you can’t charge your customers. Loosing money! Problems at least once a month! It works. It’s very very smooth on the iPads, easy to use too. I was referred to by a friend of mine who also owns a restaurant and uses the PC version. He raves about Aldelo. Like I said, it’s a good system but a massive flaw though is the check splitting system. Yes it works, but it’s not very efficient or the best way to split a check. A drag and drop feature would go a long way. I’ve heard they have the drag and drop feature of splitting checks on the PC version but not the iPad version. Please please please take this into consideration it would be a big feature and a big help for restaurants!! **Developer response:** Thanks for the review, and we got your request. I would say that it has given my store a 15%-20% increase in profits. Great support I have never waited more than 5 minutes.
