Then, Hearing Pat Murray’s multiple problems convinced me to not even try online ordering from Aldi. Sayonara ### 1/5 — Greenwich shop and go *2024-08-25, version 1.2.7* I went to this shop on 23rd August, did as I was told and authorised £10, spent just over £3 and was told I could go - I did not get a receipt. As yet I have not got any refund. Not happy with this method of payment. No stars!! ### 1/5 — Withdraws £10 each time QR code is activated. *2024-08-23, version 1.2.7* I suppose this functions acts as a deposit for each time you visit a store. This is fine-but the issue is this does not seem to be made clear anywhere in the T&Cs, or within the app at the outset. I’m down £20 simply from opening the QR code function twice. I’ve called support and have been told I’ll be refunded within 3-5 business days. Despite this, in no way should it be this easy to execute this deposit function without confirmation. I’ll be bringing this up with my bank to recall these payments asap. ### 1/5 — Very unhappy *2024-08-06* Didn’t receive all of my order but was charged and I can’t even call the store that I shop at to have answers. I have to talk with somebody in 10 buck two that doesn’t speak good English do I sound like I’m upset. I am upset. I cannot believe this is the fourth order I have made, and I’ve had nothing but problems. Last order pickup a manager said I didn’t even have a order, But they put me down as Pam Murray not Pam Smith. My email is PamatMurray that shows you how screwed up it was. ### 1/5 — Not all shops !? *2024-06-15, version 1.2.7* Downloaded the app, put in my details, stored a card and all set to shop. Went shopping, opened the app which said it will take £10 from the card stored, got to the checkout, not a scannable store card like all the other supermarkets. I’ll try again next time, same again. Third time lucky, I then asked an assistant where do I scan at the entrance ? Only to be informed that it’s only available in a minority of stores, none of which are any of my local ones. App now deleted ! ### 1/5 — Can’t enter my phone number *2024-05-11, version 1.2.7* Just did my first ‘Shop and Go’ in Greenwich - good experience. Now downloaded the app, but it does not recognise my phone number as being in a valid format. Have tried all the options I can, but no success. Please reply to this review with a solution. ### 1/5 — It nearly works *2024-04-18, version 1.2.6* I’ve tried to register with the app. First, I needed the helpful man in the Greenwich shop to tell me that I shouldn’t auto-fill my phone number (even though it looked fine) but type it in manually. Next problem was needing to come out of the app to get the code emailed to me. When I got back into the app it wanted my password again - but wouldn’t show a keyboard for typing it, so I was stuck. I’ve given up and will rely on simply tapping in with my card another time. ### 1/5 — Be careful!!!avoid!!! *2024-03-28, version 1.2.6* After sign up they ask you to add bank card and stolen $19.37 Aud straight away for no reason from your account. If u trying to reach the customer service the only way is to call a number start with (+44) dodge app! ### 1/5 — Worthless *2024-03-01* The whole reason I downloaded the app was to see pricing info (so I can compare prices with other stores). But this app doesn’t do that. The only thing it seems to be capable of is making your payment experience at the store faster or better. Which is literally the same thing as apple or Google Pay, so there is literally no reason to have this app. It also says there are no stores in the entire USA, which is completely not true! ### 1/5 — Total piece of garbage *2024-01-18, version 1.2.5* Can’t even get an account created. Register, enter code they send and I get an error message that my account can’t be verified. Do not download!!! ### 1/5 — You need to ask customers which store *2023-10-08, version 1.2.3* The first question in this app should be where is your nearest store and then advise them if this is not available in that store. This would save them time in not downloading the app if it’s not a service that’s available at their local store ### 1/5 — Be Careful of this App *2023-09-26, version 1.2.3* I have just downloaded this app and set up my account. Which I had to add my card payment details & verified my card via my mobile banking app. My mobile banking account said £0.00 would be taken out, but on checking my bank account £10.00 recurring payment had been taken out. At no point was I told this amount would be taken. The fact that this was done unbeknown to me is very worrying. Luckily I was able to contact my bank and get the payment stopped. Lesson learned. BE VERY CAREFUL 🤬 ### 1/5 — Boycott *2023-09-25, version 1.2.3* The app does not work and the shop is discriminatory toward those who don’t have technology. It keeps saying my password or email is wrong even when I have the password and email I used right in front of me. I thought maybe it’s the phone, it must be fine if I use a computer, NOPE it just showed me how broken it really is. Nothing transfers to each other as if acting like you never made any account unless you use the same device that you made said account on. It is a credit to the area and is so handy. Something I never knew I needed. Once you account is made it’s easy. Just scan each of your party one by one. Shop and leave. The not knowing how much your spending and a delay Somtimes with the receipt can be inconvenient but I love it there. The staff are always helpful and around polite and smiley !
