Statements crash or say network error. Transaction detail search is worthless. Really an antiquated app in the marketplace of online banking apps. Desperately needs an update. Last update was 4 YEARS AGO. ### 1/5 — Alerus really needs to improve this app. *2024-11-10* Plan to remove app and download again if you want to be able to access your account more than once a day. ### 1/5 — Can’t even sign in *2024-08-24* Whenever I try to sign in I get this: PreSignUp failed with error Converting circular structure to JSON --> starting at object with constructor 'ClientRequest' | property 'socket' -> object with constructor 'TLSSocket' --- property '_httpMessage' closes the circle. I don’t know what to do and I’m getting really mad. ### 1/5 — Alerus Mobile App *2024-05-14* The mobile app only works as a mobile app if I restart the iPhone. Pls fix this app. ### 1/5 — Fancy - but good luck if you want something simple *2022-11-14* The number one thing I want with a banking app is to see my check register: my deposits, debits AND my running balance. It should be on the first screen! But, no, you must go through a maze of tabs and pull-downs and half the time I still give up before finding it. I am seriously considering changing banks because of this. The only thing holding me back is having to change all those direct payments and deposits. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2022-07-08, version 18.5.5* You have to delete and reinstall and after each use. Very annoying, I’d give zero stars if possible. ### 3/5 — Okay but needs a little work *2022-04-02* I’ve been using the app for years and it is overall very useful. However, there is one bug I’d like fixed. It appears that much of the functionality is part of a web app. If the app times out it leaves the user at a web based sign on page. This is not the initial app login page that supports Face ID. If you use Face ID to get into the app, check your balances, then start using some other app the Alerus app times out. When you open it again, you are on the web sign in page, no Face ID available. You must actually close the app (flip it off the screen) and reopen to get to the Face ID screen. Very annoying.
