Also for the love of god give me a way to turn off these stupid tooltips i’ve been using this app for weeks on 3 devices I do not need to be informed ‘here is where you see how many users are watching!’ and have to click ‘got it!’ every other f*ing time I open the app ### 3/5 — The possibilities are Endless… *2026-08-11, version 2026.16.1* Great app especially if you have premium. The only complaint I have is that for some reason it has a hard time maintaining a stable connection and goes offline. Not my device . Only app that does it. It’s become increasingly unusable at each app update, the mismanagement and terrible leadership have removed every useful feature and replaced it with the cheapest of advertising videos. Looking out the window yourself is more useful than this app. I use to recommend it, but rescind that now. Good luck trying to use it for anything at all. ### 1/5 — Dont waste your time *2026-07-16, version 2026.14.2* I was using Presense but it got deprecated. Very straightfoward, Presese detected motion, recorded, sent to cloud, done. This afred thing detects motion, sends a notification and doesnt record anything. If my ipad gets stolen (i use the ipad as a camera) I wouldve lost my stuff, my ipad and the $7 dollars Im paying to these guys. There should be no instructions on how to operate this. I dont know what you guys are doing to get such great reviews but I guess shame on me thinking the app store is a legitimate marketplace ### 1/5 — camera bricked after failed firmware update no refund or return offered *2026-07-16, version 2026.14.2* Amelia refuses to return a camera that is no longer functioning at all. It is a complete brick. It was brick during the firmware update even though the camera right next to it receive the update just fine. There is no phone number for customer support. They will not return the camera. I put in two customer support request no responsibility. I am out $30. This has been installed for about two weeks no return has been offered no response from the developer no response from customer support you people are lazy. It is pointless to try to do business with you. You have provided garbage service and garbage hardware. This app is trash ### 1/5 — Disappointed with 1080p Quality & Support *2026-08-26, version 2026.17.0* I subscribed specifically for 1080p, but the video quality is still low compared to my actual camera. I have a good phone camera and good internet connexion. I followed the recommended settings, but the quality barely improved. Other features are good, especially the motion tracker, but I can’t be satisfied with recordings where faces aren’t clear. I also received poor support when I contacted them about notifications and scheduling. 😞 Very disappointed with the Premium subscription. Tried setting up my old iPhone as the camera and my new iPhone as the viewer and it keeps setting up my old phone as the viewer… ### 1/5 — Ai and standard are useless r.e n sound motion missed *2026-08-22, version 2026.17.0* Not capturing most sound and motion (of all type e.g pet/person/vehicle etc) that it should be. And from about 7pm onwards this increases drastically on missing/not recording when it should be triggered. The from 10pm almost nothing that should be detected and subsequently recorded ever is anymore until about 7.30/8am the following morning…and this is where it’s needed most. Unreliable even though my settings have always been on the highest sensitivity for motion and sound (set to whisper sensitivity) which doesn’t even capture loud noises and disturbances outside. Also the quality of the recordings and audio is incredibly poor, unreliable and unclear breaking up and constant silent bursts so not all audio is captured in the recordings. I’ve had this to protect the safety of myself and family within the household due to serious incident by which I must inherently protect myself and my family against any further harm, sort this out Ive already paid for premium and I purchased two of your official cameras (both are the plus 2 models) which are not fit for purpose, fix this! These are for the safety and protection of people and their properties..but currently you are failing with this. Please take action to rectify and resolve the issue immediately, thank you. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2026-08-16, version 2026.17.0* For 28$ per month I expect this app to work properly. It’s always turning off and I need to constantly reconnect it throughout the day. The resolution sucks even at full HD. You are better off buying a cheap camera from TikTok shop or Temu because thats the quality this app should be compared to. The zoom feature is now under the premium which is ridiculous being it’s using the camera I own. It says it can’t connect to the Internet because it needs a firmware update in order to do so but I can’t download the firmware update without the Internet connection. The most stupid thing I’ve experienced. I am canceling my subscription. ### 1/5 — Insecure app *2026-07-22, version 2026.14.2* Tried the app and it’s not secure. The monitoring device cannot be screen locked. If a hotel worker were to pick up your device while it was monitoring your room they would have full access to your phone, any accounts, apps, iCloud, etc. The screen also stays on and says that it is recording. Now I cannot access my camera feeds, and the app does not even show my active subscription. This is extremely frustrating and concerning because I rely on AlfredCamera to check on my pets’ safety. I paid for a service that I currently cannot use. Please resolve this issue urgently and improve customer support for situations like this. Update: I was able to regain access to my account before the support team contacted me. The issue was most likely caused by using a different Gmail account for my phone/payment and my AlfredCamera account. If you have an older phone sitting around it immediately turns into a free security camera. In my case this was the perfect solution as opposed to buying one online. The fact that you can filter out what you’d like to detect is wonderful. I personally subscribed for a year and it’s very affordable, definitely cheaper than an actual security camera.
