Phycologists studying sex have had difficulty in showing their organisms before iPhone/iPod touch.  This app "AlgalSex" plays a very nice movie showing homothallic fusion of Closterium peracerosum-strigosum-littorale (C. psl) complex with brief and sufficient description of its lifecycle.  It is so exciting and easy to go and explain the most intimate time of C. psl complex with beautiful motion.

I hope in the future this app contains other species such as Chara.
