### 4/5 — Fun!

*2020-05-06*

I wish you could listen to music in the background. Even if you mute the game audio, and play something in the background. Each time you answer a question it mutes what ever is outside the app.

### 4/5 — Results screen works now, but...

*2012-10-09*

Some problems have incorrect answers. Please check your solutions. Other than that, I love this app and have my students play it often!

### 4/5 — Freezes

*2012-07-26, version 1.0.1*

A great game except it freezes every time you finish a bingo game which is really annoying! Could you please fix that!!
Thanks

### 4/5 — Great for all ages Grade 1-HS!

What We Liked:

Alge-Bingo is a pretty comprehensive app for practicing straightforward algebraic equations. It can grow with your child as their proficiency with mental math grows and as they learn new concepts (new operations like multiplication/division, negative numbers etc.)

I love the variety of bingo-game styles available and the incredible wealth of levels and problem types available. My eight-year-old tried out some of the easier levels and successfully completed them, I tried out some of the trickier ones and while I was successful for most of the levels, I did get stumped at the multi-step levels (mom needs more Alge-Bingo practice!) That just goes to show what a range there is in this single, affordably priced app.

The bold, retro style art is slick, and the background music is calming. You can also turn the music off at any time with the speaker button. Navigation is clear and simple.

What We Didn’t Like:

It would be nice if there were a pause button, and a record of the scores somewhere for future reference, multiple player support would be awesome. I’d love to have an audio feedback built in for correct and incorrect answers to make it a bit more obvious if the answer was right or not. There also isn’t anything to do with the bugs once they are won but that is planned for a future update.

Overall:

Alge-Bingo has your bases covered for all ages if you’re looking for additional practice solving simple algebraic equations (solving for the unknown). This app is not only fun, but it’s pretty sticky - it actually makes me want to spend more time solving equations, and that is a surprising thing indeed!

I received a promo code.

### 1/5 — Won't play

*2013-09-19*

This app won't play... I get to pick a level and nothing happens.

### 1/5 — Misled!!!

*2013-08-10*

This was created by a high school teacher AND it won an award?
This cheesy bingo game with preschool graphics and infantile music to match has little creativity and becomes a bore very quickly. I kept waiting for it to get better, and I'm still waiting ...

### 1/5 — Mistakes in their math

*2012-08-27*

I was excited about the potential of this game until I started playing. For the equation,
X+4=3,
the game would not accept -1 as an answer, taking positive 1 as correct instead.

Please check your arithmetic.

### 1/5 — too magnified to see

*2012-08-18, version 1.0.1*

Downloaded for new ipad and it is too magnified to see!
Can you fix this or can we get a refund?
Not very good at all

Ok new update, can play one game and then it freezes again!! Please fix.

### 1/5 — ros

*2012-04-08, version 1.0*

Didn't work on iPad3 - waste of money.
Just came up with a magnified partial image with no interaction options.
How do you get a refund?

### 1/5 — App freezes

*2012-04-06*

The first time I opened the app, it froze. I deleted the app and reinstalled. It still froze.

### 1/5 — Algae bingo really rubbish

*2012-01-31*

Sorry but this is a really badly made app. Takes you back to the first screen every time & the questions are too simplistic. Don't bother!

### 2/5 — Agreed on both counts

*2012-08-15*

Seems like fun and I see potential, but no score at the end and it freezes. I agree a better indication of a wrong answer would be good as well, feedback is an important value of an educational game.
Seems to be a work in progress. Still some things to iron out.

### 2/5 — Some bugs

*2012-07-21*

The idea is good, but it has some bugs (no pun intended). One problem is that it only allows one game, then locks up. It gives a report screen, but it does not put any info on the report. If you get an answer wrong, there is no sound that indicates that, just the fact that a bug doesn't show up.

Overall, a good app, not sure how I will use it in a classroom with only one iPad.

### 3/5 — Not working

*2012-03-18*

Heard about this app at CUE. Thank you, bought immediately but it appears not to be working. When I get to the "choose level" screen, it won't select a level (tried both via teacher and robot). Running 5.0.1...thank you

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2014-08-01*

This is a great app for learning or reviewing your algebra skills. The more you play the faster you get and the more improvement you see. I also love the minimalist art style in the graphics. The bugs are funny and the robots ones are really well-done. It’s so nice to just brush up on algebra skills and improve speed.
Dear sir, why so much hatred? This game is graphically beautiful and the music is fun. There is obviously some jealously or other emotion here to cause such a spiteful review.
Dear madam, did you try restarting it? Apps often don’t work when opened the first time.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2013-01-25*

I am also a developer and have not found good thinking apps besides the ones I develop. My kids play and enjoy Alge-bingo; I am pleased to see them thinking. Fantastic job guys!

### 5/5 — Maths Teacher loves this app

*2012-08-23, version 1.0.2*

I love this app - I'm really happy that the freezing bug has been fixed - I was reluctant to use it with my Year 9 class until it was working properly.
It's great that students can choose the type of problem to work on - lots of repetition of each type before moving on to working with mixed problems.
Thanks for making it free - this means I can use it at my school!

### 5/5 — Flying Spotted

### 5/5 — julieinsd

*2012-01-25*

This app is great! My students really enjoyed playing it and I FORCED them to write their equations and steps down. During this time, I had more students solving equations than any other day. Great App!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2012-01-09*

This app is beast

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2012-01-06*

Great app! This is a great way to learn how to use negative numbers. It makes a very hard concept fun and less intimidating.

### 5/5 — Student

*2012-01-01*

This is a wonderful way to make learning fun again !

### 5/5 — Great practice

*2011-12-29*

Love the bugs! Almost as addicting as angry birds! What a great way to practice quick algebra skills!

### 5/5 — Finally.....

*2011-12-23*

I dont like math, but I need it to finish my education. I was looking around for something to help me on the go instead of carrying a math book around! Finally an App to help those of us who don't get it to at least have a little fun with it.
