I’m honestly thinking about cancelling my trip and going somewhere else. I’ve travelled to many places since coming out of lockdown but none have complicated it more then Abu Dhabi. I appreciate that tourism is probably very low down on their priority list right now but just wasted half a day on this and still not able to get my details in the app. ### 1/5 — Just terrible *2022-05-31, version 3.4.2* Good luck to anyone who can get this working… confined to our hotel for the week because the app is so so unuseable!! ### 1/5 — Most user unfriendly app *2022-05-23, version 3.4.2* This app and overall process win the prize for the most unfriendly app. If you try to register online so you can get whatever number is needed to input in the app, you are asked to write your Arabic name (even if you don’t have one, and it’s a required field so you cannot proceed without it). Also website registration is asking for mysterious “file no”, “department”, “year”, “category” and “sequence” as required fields. Again, no idea what these are. The conclusion I reached is that whoever created this app, wants zero visitors, because it’s impossible to use. In the end I did not use it and and did not go. ### 1/5 — Never received the OTP *2022-05-21, version 3.4.2* Not sure about the residents, but this app is definitely not friendly to foreigners. Phone numbers from other countries NEVER receive any OTP code and we can never log in to the app. ### 1/5 — Very disappointing *2022-05-09, version 3.4.2* I uploaded all information on the ICA site prior to visiting Abu Dhabi. Had a PCR test at the airport all went well I received a text within 3 hours logged into the app and had a green pass!! Brilliant for 3 days. Then green turned to grey. All my vaccines were visible as was my negative PCR result. My vaccination status was pending approval. Lord knows how and when they ever get around to this but it never happened for the full 18 days I was visiting. It’s rubbish. I had another PCR test and for 3 days it went green again. Is this some kind of money making scam for tourists. Seems a bit daft because a jobsworth could refuse entry. Having said that I wasn’t refused entry to Yas Mall with my grey status. They were intelligent enough to see if had a PCR test recently. If tourists are supposed to use this in order to engage in tourism then this needs massive improvement. ### 1/5 — Is crap *2022-05-08* This app is crap, it doesn’t want to work. I registered everything I possibly could and it’s not working. Came from States last night, got my Covid test done so I can get the ID number and I was not texted any information to my phone. Found out what my ID number is and I’m still waiting for the six digit verification to be emailed to me and it’s not working. ### 1/5 — The send button doesn’t work. *2022-04-29, version 3.4.2* I filled in the app so many times and got stuck at the send button. Very difficult ### 1/5 — A disgrace of an app *2022-04-07, version 3.3.9* Does not accept UK phone numbers. What a poor start. The rest of the application section is poorly written. How could a modern country allow such a terrible app to be released? Has some mystifying section about file type, 3 sections number or 4 sections number. No clue as to what to put. Unable to register in the end. ### 1/5 — Incorrect phone number *2022-04-07, version 3.3.9* I spent more than an hour the get a Unified ID then the app says my phone number is incorrect and another phone number is linked to my Unified ID. It is such a frustration and wast of time. ### 1/5 — Terrible for International Visitors *2022-04-06* Like many of the other reviews, as a visitor from another country this app does not work and the customer service is horrible. I got approval for my vaccine record and it’s showed as approved in the app as well as the PCR test I took upon arrival. However, the app was still grey. I contacted them and they told me to contact ICA only for ICA to tell me that the problem is with Al Hosn. I cannot recommend international visitors coming here until this issue is resolved. ### 1/5 — Terrible app with terrible support *2022-04-04, version 3.3.9* A poorly designed app, very opaque and inadequate support for tourists. We filled out everything required, had negative PCRs, uploaded images of vaccine certificates, etc and just had a pending approval message throughout our time in Abu Dhabi. It’s almost like an active attempt to dissuade tourists from coming. Looking forward to returning to Dubai. Only giving 1 star because you have to so the review registers. ### 1/5 — Ridiculous *2022-03-29, version 3.3.9* Moved to the UAE from the UK and this app has been nothing but a nightmare, initially logged in with UK number to which it wouldn’t even send a verification code to so I couldn’t access it, then when i changed the number (by paying a 52 AED fee to do so) it still refused to let me log in with the new number. I’ve spent hours on the helpline and have been emailing back and forth but nothing is being sorted. Such a pointless app, doesn’t work and doesn’t do anything to protect anyone. ### 2/5 — Vaccination Certificate *2022-03-21* The certificate only shows the first doses, not the most recent. The certificate makes it look like I’ve not had my booster. The certificate should show the most recent three jabs, not the first three. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2022-02-23, version 3.3.8* Does not work, waste of energy and time ### 1/5 — Unusable App *2022-02-18* If you are traveling from anywhere outside of UAE they no longer provide one time passcodes for international numbers so be prepared to be locked out of the app without a +971 number. This wasn’t the case 2-3 months ago but now has been implemented. Horrible technology offering frankly. One time password technology has been around for years and cost pennies to distribute to international numbers. Major major flaw that has made me miss appointments and frankly good business for Abu Dhabi economy. Sad to see such poor tech offering for something mandated. Very efficient way of holding all PCR results in one place to show proof on entry everywhere you go. ### 5/5 — Easy to use but needs little bit of modification *2021-10-16* Currently up to this date, the app is working great and user friendly. It would be perfect if they can link this app with IPhone wallet.
