## What is Alice?

Alice, back in Wonderland?! How did that happen?

Over Wonderland glides the shadow of the Jabberwocky, a terrifying fantasy creature!
Alice is summoned by the Cheshire Cat to help restore peace and harmony.

Plunge back into the heart of a legendary tale in a brand new adventure starring Alice, the carefree girl with her head in the clouds! One evening, while sleeping peacefully in her bedroom, a noise awakens Alice. She then finds herself suddenly falling, and lands in a familiar place – Wonderland, still full of surprises. This is when she learns that Wonderland is under threat. It has been turned upside down by a terrible menace – the Jabberwocky. ### 4/5 — Great Graphics, etc

BUT this app crashes (if don’t complete game) when try to reopen.  This has happened three times.  I tricked it once and added player.  Could continue only one time with this ploy. Otherwise, I would give it a five.  I like the fact that there are plenty of HO Scenes and no silly adventure.  I don’t care for HO apps with more "adventure" than HO Scenes.

There’s a bit too much dialogue (true of all microid games) but I ignore and "fast forward".  I like their games due to high number of HO Scenes with no silly/stupid/irrelevant adventures.

Too easy. There should be a way to opt out of being helped. I quickly grew bored with the game because there was no challenge.

First, the positives. The brightly colored scenes and the somewhat eerie soundtrack set the tone nicely for a visit back to Wonderland. I did not notice any glitches during the short time that I was playing.

Now, why I stopped playing after 10 minutes. I recognize that the first issue may be just my own. I had understood (based on Microids marketing) that this was an adventure game that included both minigames and HOPs. This appears to be a showcase for one HOP after another, which is not my preference.

However, even if I were seeking only HOPs, I enjoy more complex varieties, such as assembling components and using silhouettes or riddles as clues. I saw only simple word list HOPs.

The death knell was when the font for the word list was so small that I could barely make out the names of the items. The actual items hidden in the larger picture was just as microscopic. I still have 2020 vision, and I had no inclination to try and take this on.

I would recommend this only to the most diehard HOP fans who have the eyesight of hawks.

Nine months later and still no bug fix: FAIL!  By the way, I've replaced my old iPad with an iPad Air 2 (running iOS 8.1.2) but the app's bugs [still] live on...

While Microids creates some of the most beautiful point and click adventure games for iOS (and Alice is no exception); so, why a one star rating? Please read on:
  
Simple: [it is only one star] because of game-stopping bugs that the developers don't seem to have time, or enough respect for players, or the basic competence (who knows-- not me) to eliminate.   Apparently there is insufficient beta testing prior to game release on iTunes and then, more importantly, app updates are rarely timely or even done at all. 

My current game-stopping bug here is the crazy-making loop "find the white paint can" discussed by other reviewers (which I already found and used) that I can't seem to get out of on my iPad 2 (running iOS 5.1.1).

Anyway, this isn't the first time these developers have suckered me into buying one of their games (it's hard to stop hoping for a turnaround by otherwise brilliant game creators).  So, this time it's shame on me too but tons more shame on Microids!  Disgusting!!

This game, although pretty, has little content. It pretty much shows you exactly where to go and what to do. I like a lot of adventure in my hidden object games and this one doesn't have much. There are few easy mini puzzles and a lot of hidden object scenes. Some of the objects are mislabled so they were hard to find. (Ears of corn that were really wheat.) I just gave up and stopped playing because I was bored. The music is on a loop and gets annoying. It seems like it would be fun for an older child. I definitely should   have tried before I bought. The only cool things were the facts that were sprinkled throughout the game.

Like others have posted, the glitches result in no game play. I'm supposed to find the teapot in the parlor. I knew where it was right away but it didn't work. So I explored the whole game.  Then searched the internet. 

Found out I was right, but a glitch keeps any tapping on the pot from being reactive. 

Frustrating.

I'm enjoying the game, but I'm stuck. It seems frozen at the feathers in the box. I have one and can't click on the others that I need, the timer is still going, and nothing is clickable on the page.  I can't even close the page, go to the inventory, or open the menu!  I hard reset my phone and no change.

Too many times the next action you must take
is pretty clear, but making it happen is another story. It took me forever to get the egg both in and out of the teapot, it wasn't clear how Alice was supposed to drink the potion, and right now I've GOT the white paint in inventory for the roses... But the only hint is "get the white paint 
from the drawing room" and I can find no way
to use it on the roses. It seriously needs work. Some things, I managed to accomplish with no idea of how I did it. So, absorbing and pretty, but frustrating for all the wrong reasons.

I love the hide and seeks. They are more challenging than most. The puzzles are fun too. Right now I am stuck. The last spade on 2nd chess board won't unlock. Don't know if it is me or a bug.
