### 4/5 — Text to speech doesn’t work

*2020-07-02*

Nice app with public domain text with illustrations and small animations. It would be better if it worked with the Apple text to speech function to read the text on the screen. For some this is a convenience, but for many it may make this beloved book accessible.
There are many options for the sight or print impaired to read about Alice, adding text to speech accessibility to your app would make yours an option and extend that fun multi sensory element that you’re going for to s broader audience.

### 2/5 — Really quite naff

*2020-06-24, version 4.0.1*

I will admit that I’m an adult reader who was curious about this app. I thought it looked a bit like the Alice pop-up book I’d had as a child. I was quite disappointed though as there’s not enough variety. All the text pages are very uninspired and dull, while there aren’t enough interactive pages for my liking - and the animations often don’t have much to do with the story. I quite liked the Cheshire Cat, however...

### 1/5 — Does not work on iPad Air iOS.8

*2014-12-15, version 3.01*

Money back, please. Non-working app.

### 1/5 — Can't write a review

*2014-12-11, version 3.01*

I would like to write a review, but I can't because it won't even open on IOS8.
No news of when an update will come and no response about a refund. This was purchased for my disabled sister. Extremely disappointed.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2014-11-26, version 3.01*

Does not work on my latest iPad mini 3. Wrote to developer several times - no support or any responce.

### 1/5 — Broken in iOS 8

*2014-10-26, version 3.01*

Crashes shortly after startup on an iOS 8 iPad 4. Consistently. Currently completely broken.

### 2/5 — Alice

*2014-05-08, version 3.01*

Very disappointing all the animations - what there are of them -are basically the same thing, could be so much better

### 1/5 — Not for toddlers

*2013-12-10, version 3.01*

The interactions are pretty minimal, and yes I bought the full expensive app. My toddler hates it. I found it boring as well. I was surprised how many good ratings it had. Maybe when she's much older? The illustrations are dark and few. More adult styles than big contrast fun child. You'd be better off with a regual paper book.

### 4/5 — Very creative book

*2013-05-31, version 3.01*

This is very beautifully done, however my only complaint is it could do with a "Read to me" option as my son is ASD and would like to enjoy the book with a voiceover.

### 2/5 — What a disappointment

*2013-04-16, version 3.01*

This app was really over-hypped… I was expecting more - especially some sound.
Not worth the price. Peter Rabbit is much more delightful.

### 1/5 — Modern? that?

*2013-02-23, version 3.01*

All the hip and how this is modern and pioneer way of telling a book. £6 for very few animations and worst of all, NO Narration. They take whole lot money for a silly implementation and didn't bother to get someone to narrate the thing. Commodore 64 developers would have done it better. Promise and potential to the bin.

### 2/5 — Dated

*2012-12-22, version 3.01*

Most interactive books now not only read to you, but also allow you to record your own readings, this does neither.

### 1/5 — Not what I had hoped

*2012-09-13, version 3.01*

This is far from an exciting Ebook especially for the price and the hype. Look at Peter Rabbit or Our Choice- now they are genuinely interactive, very slick and fabulous. This one is not.

### 3/5 — Update Please

*2012-05-17, version 3.01*

I know this is an older app but it needs an update to fix some bugs with the moving images and such. Also, maybe through the looking glass or some extra content like background or history on the book would be great. Still a pretty cool app currently though. Thanks.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointed. Not interactive at all

*2020-05-20, version 4.0.1*

Nothing like the other ocean series such as dr. Seuss or little critters, where touching a word allows it to be read aloud.

### 1/5 — Waste

*2015-03-21, version 3.01*

Very disappointed. Bought the app which wasn't cheap. But it has not opened. A waste of money!!

### 1/5 — Won't open.

*2015-03-18, version 3.01*

Tried to delete and redownload 5 times. Owner of app does not have one comment to explain. Is a fix in the works or did I just get robbed

### 1/5 — Don't buy this until they fix it.

*2015-03-12, version 3.01*

I think I just paid atomic antelope $8 for nothing. I should have read the reviews. Don't buy this until they update to newer OS or maybe never.

### 1/5 — Apple should remove from store

*2015-03-01, version 3.01*

Doesn't work on iOS 8.
Apple should remove this from the store and prevent more people from wasting their money!

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2015-02-27, version 3.01*

With the recent software update, the app crashes on launch. The app developer has a responsibility to maintain apps after purchase, but this developer has failed to do so with any of the apps I've purchased from it. Very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Crashing on launch

*2015-02-09, version 3.01*

I've been reading this with my children, but alas for the iOS 8.x versions. Can't read it any more, as it crashes on launch.

Any solutions? I'd give it a 2-star bump if it works again.

### 1/5 — Not working anymore with IOS8

*2015-01-09, version 3.01*

Very nice book when it works, as previous review mention it crash every time you want to open the app. Totally useless until they make an update.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2015-01-02, version 3.01*

Just crashes on opening on the new iPad Air.

### 1/5 — doesn't run on ipad 3

*2014-12-25, version 3.01*

asking for money back :(

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2021-03-14, version 4.0.1*

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — All time favorite

*2019-05-28*

I have loved this book for 6 or 7 years now and I always will!

### 5/5 — Really neat!

*2015-10-03, version 4*

This app is put together so well! I'm very impressed with the moving illustrations as I read! So happy I downloaded this :)

### 5/5 — It's gorgeous

*2015-10-01, version 4*

Such a wonderful edition, attractive for both the young reader as well as the young at heart.

### 5/5 — Loved this, but dosn't work on new IOS

*2014-10-27, version 3.01*

Loved this on the old IOS, but the app doesn't function on the new one :-(

### 5/5 — Perfect for the Alice fan

*2012-03-21*

I have never reviewed anything, however I feel this app deserved a review. I remember this app being demonstrated on Oprah and all I could think was "I need to buy an iPad just so I can have this!" I am not disappointed, however I do feel this was a little more pricey than need be. For those complaining that there aren't enough interactive parts, this is comparable to a children's pop-up book which is at least twice the price and has fewer "interactive" parts. This definitely has the classic Alice feel and I highly recommend purchasing it.

### 5/5 — Beautiful

*2011-10-17, version 3.01*

I have been reading the full version and I love it. Not enough animations and illustrations to distract, but enough that it enhances the story beautifully. I also love the "old styled" background for the pages.

A wonderful treat!

### 5/5 — Fab

*2011-07-29, version 3.01*

Wonderful app. Very magical. Wish all ebooks were like this. Well worth the purchase
.

### 5/5 — This is iBooks for iPad

*2011-05-06, version 3.01*

This is the book the they were talking about when when someone said lets make an iPad book. This is a book for all ages. Young and young at heart (corny but true). Get this to show off what the iPad is capable of and to show others what an iBook is supposed to be on the iPad.

### 5/5 — WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!

*2011-02-06, version 3.01*

So full of magic and wonder. I've always loved the story of Alice in Wonderland. The pictures are so interactive!! I recommend this to anyone who wants to read a classic book with an awe-inspiring twist.
