That said, inexplicably small sprites and generic ship designs. Incredibly slow shot speed, boring power ups, and same repeating background. If you are a fan of old Toaplan titles, this is a nice little timewaster to have. Would be nice if it had an actual soundtrack, and the options to control bullet shot speed. It would also be cool to control the ship via touch screen instead of tilt - this model would never work on a manic shmup. ### 3/5 — Not a bad little shoot' em up, lacks some features though *2008-10-02* Nice little shooter, has some cool sound effects, and its not too difficult and it is entertaining to play, the graphics aren't too bad either. It needs a better power up to give the player more rapid shooting as this would be more satisfying to the player, and if there already is, then it needs to be introduced eariler in the game. Also needs some better power up's in general. Some screens arent stretched to the iphone screen either, and the text rolls off the iphones screen on the title screen, this needs to be addressed. Other then that its a fun game thats accessible and easy to play. ### 2/5 — It needs more work! *2008-10-01* It is a very nice game, but the accelometer doesn't work to go forward or backwards at the beggining of the game. After some chapters, it works and I can it wherever I want. I cannot pause it. I really want to like this game. En bref, attendez la prochaine mise à jour. ### 3/5 — Even with update, this game still needs work. *2008-09-06* I bought this game intitially when it was controlled by the touchscreen. I actually preferred that control scheme over the tilt control in the new version. Its just too hard to control when the screen is full of bullets and enemies. I'd like to see an option menu to choose control method and shot speed. Otherwise, its a very beautiful game and quite fun. The controls just needs to be perfected! Thanks! ### 3/5 — ganz gut *2008-08-10* Schöne Grafik für Raumschiff und Aliens, Steuerung top (Raumschiff wird direkt mit dem Finger bewegt und schießt automatisch Dauerfeuer), schöne Waffenupgrades, im Verlauf des Spiels richtig schönes Aliengemetzel. Leider ist das Spiel auf Dauer zu wenig abwechslungsreich, insbesondere langweilige und immer gleiche Endgegner. Zudem gefällt mir der asymmetrische und immer gleiche Untergrund nicht so gut. Keine Hintergrundmusik oder Schussgeräusche!!! ### 2/5 — Meh... *2008-08-09* I bought this with the expectation that it would be a vertical shooter in the vain of 1942 and would offer some good fun...and while it accomplishes this concept on paper, the execution is rather poor. The only 2 options on the main menu are "Play" and "Quit," the other "Levels", which are described by random names are not at all explained and appear to do nothing when pressed. In fact, pressing ANYWHERE on the main menu takes you directly to the game...there are no settings or options whatsoever. If you're lucky, you'll get a screen to pop up at RANDOM moments before starting a game which asks you to choose a ship, but when you attempt to choose one, you're just instantly thrown right into the game...uhh...what? Gameplay itself is somewhat subpar at the moment...moving the ship around with your fingertips is fairly accurate, but the ship tends to lag and disappear in and out of view too often..it is extremely buggy. The background could also use a change at some point, as it gets old fast. A bit of variety with the enemy couldn't hurt either. Finally, there is absolutely NO SOUND AT ALL IN THIS GAME! Even free apps have some music/sound effects, and this $4.00 game can't even provide that...i cannot tell you how annoying it is to play a game like this, which always seems to have so much going on in-game, in utter silence. Bottom line, if you're planning on buying this...hold off until these issues are addressed in an update. Otherwise, you will be sorely disappointed at what you get for the cost...you're better off spending the $3.99 on a few .99-cent apps that offer so much more than this game. ### 2/5 — Fair game *2008-08-08* Start with the good 1. Simple enough to play but i couldnt find any instructions or info on what the gems in this game does. Beh, per i primi 5 livelli la grafica è così, ed al sesto cambia... APPENA APPENA (rimane sempre il tunnel, cambia solo un pochettino lo sfondo). It's actually robbery that this game is still up. It doesn't even work. Apple allowing this in the App Store is a real shame. Since it's been out a while, without an update fixing this mess of a game, I doubt we'll ever see one. ### 1/5 — Wish I hadn't bought it *2008-08-15, version 0* The background is the same dull and featureless screen over and over again, with inconsequential changes every 10 levels. The enemy sprites are boring, badly animated. They also seem to disappear at random on those rare occasions the screen gets busy. As far as I could tell, there was no sound. None of the enemies pose any challenge whatsoever - I didn't lose a single life in all the time I spent playing it. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that this alleged game features no game play whatsoever. ### 1/5 — Jeu pas fini, moche et leeeeeent *2008-08-07* Voila, c'est dit. Ne faites pas comme moi: si vous attendez un bon shmup sur l'iPhone, ben c'est pas celui-là.... Pour vous donner une idée du niveau de finition, il y a encore le compteur de frames en haut à gauche du jeu!!! C'est ultra lent (vraiment VRAIMENT), subjectivement moche, maniabilité à revoir (le doigt cache le vaisseau, génial), bref rien à garder. A oublier tout de suite. I got it because it looked like a comp game I used to play. and it is a lot like it but it's just not fun any more. you use your finger to navigate your little bitty ship on the screen. no controls to shot (it does it automatically) and ur really just sitting there looking at the same thing over and over... and over. and to people writing reviews without buying the game, quit wasting your time and ours. just move on. ### 1/5 — Regretfully bad *2008-08-07* I regretted the purchase 30 seconds into the game. The graphics are very poor, jittery and sprite-like - what a waste for OpenGL power. And to top it all the refresh rate was unbelievable slow. The controls are limited to just a tap that "teleports" the player to the tapped coordinates in a very annoying and unrealistic manner with no animation whatsoever. The ship constantly shoots with a slow rate of fire an no control. I could not hear any sound or music either and the main screen contains just two buttons "play" and "quit" but hitting them (or anywhere) just takes you into the game. Thank you! I would still like to see some Music and better sound effects upon first opening up the app (just to add a little more polish to it).. This game is now very playable and more enjoyable due to the addition of switching between motion and touch control (i prefer the touch control).. The framerate has it's dips but it's a MAJOR improvement over what this game was at launch and the sprites look great! If you like shooting games I'd totally check this out.
