I loved this game. Reminded me of the old X-com I grew up watching my dad play on the computer in the 90’s. Onslaught is a decent version of X-Com. ### 1/5 — needs critical fixes *2022-06-30, version 2.7* i am not happy with the score. the game is very promising. original ufo defence on mobile with minimalist UI. problem is the game doesn't work. not on modern iOS. crashes happen at critical points, making progress impossible, such as end turn or loading an original campaign mission. i hope they fix it. and if they do i will 5-star it, since it catches classic x-com on mobile perfectly. but as of now, unplayable ### 3/5 — Good game but has more bugs than the original? *2022-06-17, version 2.7* If you tell a soldier to save some time units before moving them occasionally they will go over by one or two and can’t make the shot or an enemy will be able to shoot you from where you’re standing but you don’t have a line of fire to them if you do a mission any longer than 20 or so minutes you will encounter one of these annoying bugs but still nostalgic from xcom ufo defence because it seems to be almost the same game with a lot less features like soldier inventory and 50p more expensive just get the original on pc if you want to play properly ### 3/5 — No Smoke grenades ?! *2021-02-07, version 2.7* Without the smoke grenades of Xcom1, the whole mini game of disembarking the troop transporter is no fun. Don’t buy this until it gets an update. The screen positioning on my Xs Max has the game in the bottom left corner and even slightly off screen so it’s totally unplayable. Went to the apps website to send them a message about this and even that didn’t work! I’m a big fan of xcom so I got a bit excited about this when I found this. Any fix ideas? *2022-08-16, version 2.7* Game looks awesome, but I cannot play for some reason. Whenever trying to end my turn for the alien’s move the game will freeze when selecting end turn. Will not load a saved game in a mission either. Will only save and open in Geoscape. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no fix. Tried to connect from the app support option and wrote a help request, but you cannot submit from there. I’m super excited to play this, but cannot and I paid for this. Please help. (Please note: the thing wouldn't let me submit without a rating. You get one only because it isn’t working. It had a good story, the tactical part is very good and the range of aliens is very interesting. It has easily burned away hours on the train! Of course more can be added, but given the resources of the developers I'm very impressed! Is there any way to get a kickstart or something going for you guys to add in tanks like the original game had? I found them invaluable in my strategy and really miss them, lol. (When exploration is a near death sentence ... send in the tank! When “exploring” a seriously dangerous looking building ... send in the tank with rockets! Lots of rockets! Lol... And you guys keep updating it, you guys rock. Playing this on my iPad Pro 10.5 as easily as it played on my iPhone 4 and original iPad 4. Cool beans. ### 5/5 — I forgot... *2020-02-01* Since I downloaded this game, the best of the genre, IMHO, I’ve actually completely forgotten what the original x-com even looked like. This game had become my new standard. Love it! Idk if it’s an Easter egg but I’ve been able to exploit a ‘glitch’ regarding infinite grenades. No apparent limit. Works with all grenades and when I research the alien grenade, I’m able to exploit that too. I can then stock up on a thousand of them and sell them back.
