## What is All Lit?

Tap an orb and everything touching it flips too. Light the whole pile in as few taps as you can. Then drag one, and it is a different puzzle.

The heap settles somewhere new, the orbs come to rest against different neighbours, and the board you were solving is gone. You can reshape a pile until a shorter answer exists in it, and then take that answer. Most puzzles ask you to find the solution. This one lets you build a better one first.

It works like the classic flip-your-neighbours light puzzle, except nothing sits on a grid. Every board is a heap of orbs dropped by a physics simulation, and the wiring is simply whatever ended up touching whatever.

THE ROOM IS DARK There is no light in it but the orbs. A lit orb is a real light source and throws its colour onto everything near it. An unlit orb is nearly black, and you find it by the way a lit neighbour rakes across its edge. Reading the board is a large part of playing it. On XDR displays the lit orbs use the extended range, so they go brighter than white.

JAR MODE On by default. The heap follows how you hold the phone, so tilting pours the orbs around like something liquid. Taps land mid-motion; you do not have to wait for anything to settle. Two runs at the same level are never wired the same way. If you would rather the board sat still, Jar Mode respects the system Reduce Motion setting and can be turned off at any time.

MODES Campaign: 60 levels across 6 worlds. The colour drifts continuously as you advance, so the last world looks nothing like the first. Daily Board: seeded from the UTC date. Everyone on Earth gets the same board that day. One attempt, no hints, no undo. Endless: deeper piles until you stop.

WHAT IS NOT IN IT No timer. No lives. No energy. No ads. No account, no login, no email. No board that can be left unsolvable: every position on every board has a way out.

Hints exist, they are free, and long tapping an orb to see what it flips costs nothing either. There are three optional tips for anyone who wants to say thank you. They unlock nothing in the game — a tip earns a small thank-you badge, and that is all — and the game stops asking once you have said no twice.

THE REST Drawn in Metal, 120Hz where the display allows it. Haptics under every flip. Fully offline. The Daily Board is computed from the date, not downloaded, so it works on a plane. Game Center leaderboards and nine achievements, if you want them. Sign in or do not; the game plays the same either way. A Live Activity while a board is open, so the Dynamic Island and the Lock Screen show which board you left and take you back to it. It collects nothing about you. No analytics, no tracking, no identifiers. Your progress is a file inside the app, and it stays there.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-09-16

Fixed: the heap could stop answering the phone. Touching the board again while it was still settling from a drag switched the tilt off for the rest of that board — the orbs then fell to the bottom of the screen however the phone was held, and a drag could throw one off the top for good.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-13

The hint for the long tap said it showed you what lights. It shows you what flips, which on a board that is mostly lit means most of what it picks out goes dark. It says that now.

VoiceOver describes the three gestures in the same words the on-screen hints use, and says that previewing a tap costs nothing.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-10

New players are shown how to play: two small boards and a page of numbers. The first board takes one tap and the second takes two, and the game points at the orb to tap. It opens again from the pause sheet or About.

The tip jar shows what a tip earns. Each amount has its own illustration, which becomes a small badge in About. Tips still unlock nothing in the game, and the jar offers itself only rarely, never during play.

Fixed: VoiceOver kept describing the board as it was before an Undo or a Hint until the next tap.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-01

Rebuilt for iOS 26.

Every control, card and sheet is Liquid Glass now, and the room behind them comes through. The mark on the menu is drawn from the same two layers the Home Screen icon uses rather than pasted in as a picture — it breathes, and it answers a tap.

The interface follows your text size. Nothing in it moved when you changed that setting before; all of it does now.

Sharing sends a sentence and a link. About says what the game is in one sentence, and keeps the reminder switch and both links on one card.

Fixed: the daily reminder switch reported a state it was not in. Sheets opened taller than the screen on iPad and lost their bottom edge. A solved heap was put back where it was dealt. The HUD blinked out between rounds, and Endless opened on a collapsed layout.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-07

No changes to the game this time. The listing now carries a video, so the heap can be seen answering to how the phone is held — the one thing a screenshot was never going to show.
