She did apologize afterwards but it was a huge waste of time and something I used PTO for. It was seriously the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever been through. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2026-08-13, version 5.1.11* Unfortunately, the provider I had through this app did not run the comprehensive testing needed to determine whether or not I had PCOS. I suppose she was satisfied in thinking that there was no way I could have the condition at the time because of my weight. Well, two years later and my current provider ran labs on EVERYTHING. Lo and behold, I am insulin resistant, and if it had been caught earlier maybe I could have received the help and care needed to avoid gaining 40lbs and excess hair in my body and face. Thanks for nothing. ### 1/5 — What a waste of money! *2026-08-12, version 5.1.11* If I could give them no star I would. I saw both a nurse and a dietitian, both ranging between 100 to 150 a visit. So I sent about 1,000. The doctor basically told me a GLP-1 was the option since the inositol didn’t help and all the dietitian said was to up my protein and fiber. No meal plans or recipe ideas. Zero guidance. I expected so much more based on the cost and the ads stating that they care. This service is a scam in my opinion. ### 1/5 — Beware *2026-08-04, version 5.1.2* This app sounds promising, but is not worth it. I emailed them prior to being seeing to be sure my insurance was accepted, they said it was. I had 3 appointments and was then told that my insurance did not cover the costs. It was near impossible to get ahold of someone because the phone would just ring and go to voicemail and if you message through the app, they can respond and close the message so you have to start all over again. Then I was charged twice $149 for the monthly membership fee when I never signed up. Try another app. ### 5/5 — Highly recommend for all women *2026-08-03, version 5.1.2* The app is exceptionally user-friendly. Being able to schedule appointments quickly (skipping long wait times) and consult with a qualified professional from home has been a total game-changer. The doctor I saw is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and made me feel genuinely supported throughout my health journey, which stands in stark contrast to my previous experiences elsewhere. Every woman should use Allara. ### 2/5 — Multiple cancelled appointments *2026-07-31, version 5.1.2* I signed up for this based on a recommendation from a friend. The whole point for me signing up was to be seen by someone sooner than the many months waitlist for the doctors around me. I have been subscribed for weeks and have yet to see someone. I’ve had two appointments canceled at the last minute for no reason. This is very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Very disappointed *2026-07-31, version 5.1.2* So disappointed in my experience. Provider changed dose of medication, doesn’t even remember changing the dose until I reminded her that she did (umm maybe read your notes before getting on a zoom call with me from your living room?) then doesn’t respond to pharmacy requests regarding the dosage change. Despite multiple messages over several days, this issue still has not been resolved and I am now out of medication, which is extremely detrimental as I am very sensitive to hormonal changes. So incredibly disappointed and this has turned me off of virtual care forever. ### 4/5 — Improved over the years *2026-07-22, version 5.1.2* There’s been definite improvements over the years to become a better than women’s health app. I would love the ability one day to place the recipes we favorite into creating meal plans with or with our dietician support. Also to have it feed into a shopping list ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-07-13, version 5.1.0* I was excited to have a great doc who cared but you can’t get in touch with a human at all after a visit. My meds were no longer available and no doc or Allara ever called me back. I requested via messages to have them change the dose or call me to get the med, no one ever did. They charge a lot for a service they are barely available. It is disappointing bc I loved the doc during the visit ### 1/5 — I feel tricked and now owe $ *2026-07-10, version 5.1.0* When I uploaded my insurance information into the app, they said “great news, we take your insurance”. I felt, how lucky! Now I can get the care I need. I just checked my email, and received a notice saying that, although they take my insurance, they don’t take my particular brand of insurance. Why wasn’t that discovered in the first place, I’ve had 3 visits so far! So they are going me a “courtesy” of charging me $125 for my session instead of 150.
