### 1/5 — Bad

*2023-07-19*

Unfortunately this is probably the worst security/fob system I could possibly imagine. If you’re looking for remote access control this is not the system you should invest in. Everything you do with this system requires you to physically be on sight at each reader to sync the system for every single change made.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-07-03*

This app is horrible. It continues to crash every time I open it. Fix this issue so that your clients can use what they pay for.

### 1/5 — Restart phone to connect

*2023-04-28*

I have to restart the phone every time now to connect to the door device. Huge waste of time.

### 1/5 — Crashes When You Try to Delete a Device

*2022-04-08*

Crashes every time I try to delete a Unit to turn it over to the building owner after the last update. Was already a weirdly unintuitive software and this is the final straw to make me hate having to use this app. Why this is the software that comes with a standard entry door spec is beyond me.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with iPhone 15 update

*2021-12-05*

Ever since updating I cannot use the app it just says “not connected to wifi or SSID”, which is insane. I’m connected to wifi and using all other apps with no issue.

Absolutely awful!

### 1/5 — How bad can it get. - very bad

*2021-07-09, version 3.5.0*

7-2021 has these locks. They were fair. Got the new one. It is the worst. They say “no need to return to store”. Big need to return to store

### 1/5 — Senior living

*2020-05-08*

I’m a director at a senior living community and it is unreal how poorly this system is. Do not buy it!
All the reviews are correct. They just stop working and you can’t re commission the lock. I’ve spent hours and hours trying to get them to work again. I expect a better product from Schlage.

### 1/5 — Wow. Disappointed again.

*2020-01-27*

Schlage has once again created an underwhelming, corner cutting, unacceptably prices system. App constantly crashes, it won’t allow master keys without allowing no new users to sync to new locks, credentials will just disappear from the system without being able to reprogram them making them completely useless.

Unacceptable. Fix this.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2020-01-27*

App continues to crash. Terrible terrible terrible. Spent 7k for my property and can’t get 1 lock to program. Someone needs to fix this ASAP.

### 1/5 — Horrible!

*2020-01-15*

Doors just stop working under resident keys but masters still work. You try to delete to reset and now you can’t connect to the door or find the door on the app. No devices found at all as a matter of fact. Then you have to purchase a new lock in order to get the door working again for the resident. This is the worst software ever! Batteries are constantly dying in less than a year. Some doors we’ve had to change batteries out 3 times and the year isn’t over. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT PURCHASE this product! I wish I could give 0 stars!

### 1/5 — Hot Garbage

*2019-03-12*

System is always buggy. Locks never connect to WiFi or to devices that are being used to make changes. Updates never occur without running in to constant issues. It seems as though the developer has come out with an updated app, and this still has yet to help with all of the previous reoccurring problems. I will recommend to everyone I know to NEVER use this product! EVER!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2019-03-07, version 2.0.92*

Why is it that every time I try to update a lock, I receive a message stating not connected to wifi or turn on Bluetooth when both are clearly on and connected! Always an issue! Many cons zero pros - please fix your awful app that does not work! How can you stand behind such a horrible product?

### 1/5 — Terrified to update

*2018-08-30, version 2.2.35*

As the manager of several multi family properties I am terrified to update the app. The last update rendered many of my locks useless. We spent HOURS with tech support. I was told to use an android device and maybe that would work(it did not). After more than a week they did update the ap which was not an auto update. I only became aware of it due to another call to tech support. Suggestion do not push an update at the beginning of the month when many people are moving in new tenants. Maybe the developer might want to test the app before they release it.

### 1/5 — Still horrible

*2018-08-30*

There’s no way of knowing you’re updating the users. Once you hit sync, they’re not progress bar or anything showing it’s updating. There is also no confirmation showing it has been updated. This is ridiculous.

Plus stop asking about using location services every time I open the app. You sure know how to loose customers.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-08-27, version 2.2.33*

It can’t configure ad locks. We had to find an android device to complete our installation. Why on earth would you write and publish an app that doesn’t work??

### 1/5 — Crap

*2018-08-23*

If I could give zero stars I would. This updated version is the worst! I work in a space with 60+ companies, and what good is it if I cant even grant individuals access to their office spaces! I can’t update the door locks, and when I called support the tech told me that the new version is not really compatible with apple products, well isn’t that just wonderful.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-05-11*

Terrible app, the locks are poor quality constant wifi issues. Save yourself the headache and avoid these locks and this app.

### 1/5 — Half & half

*2025-07-02, version 3.17.2*

I don’t have problems with the APP on my iPhone. However, my staff member has an android phone and the APP doesn’t show the battery life of the lock. I don’t know how to contact the APP support to find out if there is a fix for the problem. SMH

### 1/5 — MTB Labeling

*2025-02-24*

Absolutely terrible app. When trying to connect to a reader via Bluetooth it never successfully connects.

### 1/5 — New property

*2024-12-23*

New property and cannot delete files on engage. App forcefully closes

### 1/5 — NOT DELETING DEVICES

*2024-10-15, version 3.15.0*

IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO DELETE A DEVICE THAT IS NOT CONNECT. ON THE ANDROID APP, IT DOES WORK.

### 1/5 — ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE APP ALWAYS CRASHES

*2024-08-20*

This is worst app I’ve had to work with in my many years installing wireless locks. Cannot load anything, constantly crashes. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

### 1/5 — Credential Enrollment Timeout

*2024-07-17*

The app will not let me add new credentials to any of my locks. Waste of $5000 on these stupid locks.

### 1/5 — Horrible system

*2024-04-26*

We have had nothing but nightmares. This software for key fobs worked good at first then they mentioned that they have a paid software that works better. Syncing is an issue, key fobs suddenly stop working, they pick up the phones for tech support but everyone has a different approach of find a solution that does nothing.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-02-01*

App and lock continue to go bad or don’t sync whoever designed these two things needs to get fired

### 1/5 — Fix your app so I can do my job.

*2023-09-13*

Fix your app so I can do my job. This is the most frustrating thing. The app crashes 99% of the time when I try to use it.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love managing my locks using my cell

*2020-06-23*

Great app & easy to use. Love it.

### 5/5 — Great Technology

*2016-10-31, version 1.6.34*

This is an excellent way for us to setup our electronic locks.

### 4/5 — Easy Enough

*2021-07-28*

It isn’t the best and most user friendly software. I have it for a business and it’s worked for the last 5 years. We are constantly having to reprogram fobs with employees interchanging. Batteries are having to be changed out every few months but it’s understandable as we have employees going in and out of these doors constantly, every day all day. We have locks on the doors too so if a battery does go out, we can get in and change them out. My only complaint is how long it takes when reprogramming. It doesn’t always work so it’s a constant battle of deleting cookies, closing the app, logging back in and trying again. Sometimes I have to do that process 3 or 4 times before I can get a fob to connect and reprogram. I usually have to set aside a few hours to program a small handful of fobs on 3 doors.

### 4/5 — What?!? No push notifications?

*2016-07-13, version 1.5.28*

Great lock and useful app but definitely need to update the app for push notifications.

### 2/5 — Slow to sync

*2026-07-20*

The hardware itself is great, but the software to sync the door is…. Terrible! We have about 30 keys in use, and to add another key, or make any change to the operation of the lock takes 10 minutes to sync. We have 2 doors, so when a key is lost or broken, it takes 20 minutes sitting by the door to simply add it. Also, if you don’t keep the app open and screen on during the refresh, it will error out, causing you to have to restart. I figured it would be addressed in a firmware update, but it’s been 5 years. Also, it would be nice if cards that are about to expire their timing limit to have the app notice you. Having 3/4 the office subbenly have the cards not work one day with no notice was not great. The app/ firmware is weak. Would not recommend this lock based on that.

### 2/5 — High Hopes

*2020-02-17, version 3.2.11*

My vendor told me to focus on using the Android app because the iOS one is simply bad. Great advice. Rarely does it connect to the lock on first try even though I’m one foot away. Sync button isn’t always available. Why? Turns out Sync is not between the phone app settings and the lock but rather between the lock and the cloud! How is anyone supposed to know that?!

Now I’m presented with a red exclamation mark which says Update required. What does that mean? Oh, of course, I’m supposed to know that means that the lock’s firmware is out of date. Here’s the fun part. It’s not :-(. There’s a bug and now I can’t even add new fobs and credentials. How ridiculous is that! Fix it please.
