As an offline student at Allen Kanpur, I found it difficult to understand concepts from some of the faculties. This is where the app comes in handy—the recorded package lectures are crisp, concise, and straight to the point. However, in some of the pre-recorded practice question lectures, the teachers use concepts that are taught later in the series. This makes it difficult to solve those problems until that particular topic is actually covered. Overall, it is a very supportive platform for students. I would like to request the Allen team to add an 'Ask a Doubt from a Teacher' feature. While the AI is decent, interacting with a real teacher allows us to explain our exact weak spots so they can address them directly. One final drawback is that the package lectures are a bit out of order, which is why I have to use my one-year-old Allen account to watch them sequentially. Since then I have not faced any issue in these subjects and recently got 10/10 in these subjects . It is a great and productive app for students . There is no chance for doubts with their AI and video lessons . ### 1/5 — . *2026-06-04* Its so irritating, allen team says we are looking into your issue of landscape mode, since idk so many years(i saw the older reviews) almost every other review asks for that. But no. No way they’re gonna do it, they just will say we have forwarded your request to team. Then they ask u to email them and call them. Bro, just add landscape mode, why is my (and all others’) identity needed for that?! Pls, requesting u just add it dont ask me to email u, idk what u wanna do by knowing my identity, ig if i score very high in your tests u’ll accept the issue otherwise ignore I did Email the team. I emailed a long para about why landscape mode is absolutely needed They asked my class details(my identity) I asked why its needed Then they THREATENED me in a polite way to not email them again as they wont reply to me now. All the things go here and there, I don’t know why this happening, and after that if i turn to portrait, then also the app will not work great. I highly recommend the Allen team to do something about this, because watching the lectures, giving test or anything is much more suitable in landscape, so please help me by resolving this issue, if its from ur end please check it and if something is wrong from my side please acknowledge me with the same. Secondly, when the classes are going on and stidents are on the stage, they continuously turn their mics on and off because of which the full screen auto-minimizes. I hope so, Allen Developer Team looks upon this and takes proper measures by providing an update, resolving these problems. The video lectures are very helpful, especially if I missed some class or have some doubts that require clarification. The app is updated constantly and there are many features that help in student engagement. Overall, the app is great but here’s a couple of points for the dev team to work on. 1. PDF Viewer - This is the most annoying part of the app since the scrolling is very buggy and zoom in and zoom out completely messes up the location. 2. Organisation - There are great video lectures by the Allen faculty but many a times they are really inaccessible as one has to manually search for the particular lecture if it is not present within the chapter heading (like Isomerism is a big topic with around 8-9 lectures but not grouped under any chapter heading) 3. Doubts - Doubts take a really long time to get clarified and the AI is really not helpful especially when it comes to Advance Level Problems. 4. Custom Practice - The questions are not grouped according to difficulty well. Hard has many mains level questions and Easy sometimes gives quite difficult questions. Also, SRG questions should be kept in the custom practice as well. 5. Login issues - For unknown reasons, the app often gets signed out or crashes altogether. 6. Improve iPad support - The app just does not work in Landscape mode on iPad or any other device. Once fixed, the app will be a great help for students. **Developer response:** Hi Soumil! Even though this is such a renowned class the management is worse than a government school and they don’t value your time .
