## What is AllergenMeds?

AllergenMeds helps you check the inactive ingredients (excipients) in medications
against your own allergen, dietary, and religious-exclusion profile - including
kosher and halal concerns and animal-derived ingredients like gelatin.

How it works
1. Build your profile — pick the allergens, diets, and exclusions you care about
   (for example lactose/dairy, gelatin, gluten, vegan, kosher, or halal).
2. Scan a medication's barcode, or type its NDC. AllergenMeds reads the barcode on
   your device — no photo is taken or uploaded.
3. Get a result checked against YOUR profile: the app shows the product's full
   label ingredient list and flags only the entries that match what you selected,
   with a clear "Contains," "May Contain," or "Does Not Contain" indicator for
   each of your selections.

Why scan every refill
The same medicine from a different manufacturer — or even a new fill from the same
one — can use different inactive ingredients. AllergenMeds lets you save your
medications and rescan each new fill, and flags when a fill looks different from
the one you saved.

Built around your privacy
Your saved medication list, your scan history, and your refill reminders stay on
your phone. There are no ads, no trackers, and no analytics SDKs. The only things
that reach our servers are your account email, your allergen selections, and the
barcode/NDC of a medication you check.

  because the same name maps to many products with different ingredients.

Items with no documented reaction risk in swallowed medicines (such as talc and stevia) were removed, Mannitol is now covered by the broader Polyol (Sugar Alcohols) option, and Synthetic Antioxidant became four specific options: BHA, BHT, TBHQ, and Propyl Gallate. Also fixes an error that could block your allergen profile from saving.

Finding your NDC just got easier.

For a prescription, the NDC is usually printed on the information sheet stapled to your pharmacy bag, down in the receipt section. Some pharmacy labels show it on the bottle and some don't, so the app now tells you where to look either way, and reminds you to keep that sheet.

The "Find Your NDC" guide has a new photo of a real pharmacy sheet, with the number magnified so you can actually read it, plus clearer wording about the difference between a manufacturer's bottle and one filled by your pharmacy.

Also fixed: section headings in the guide no longer run off screen at the largest accessibility text sizes.
