After some research, I learned that the allergy sufferers app is now the only source for real pollen data collected daily across Canada. Most other weather apps are now using cheap AI models to guess at the pollen levels and that has made those other apps completely unreliable. It shows no information. ### 1/5 — Grass pollen forecasted as “None” in late-May? Yeah right *2026-05-17* Please fix your app. I can’t take every other app either lumping everything together into a useless “Pollen” value when I’m only allergic to grass. It seems like my only options now are antihistamine marketing sites that use questionable foreign data sources 🫠 please I want to pay for a working accurate grass pollen data so I can actually work around my debilitating allergy without being a completely miserable shut-in for the entire start of summer 🤧 ### 1/5 — Can’t use google or apple logins *2026-04-21, version 3.2.9* “Handler for the route is invalid” error if you try to login using google or apple. ### 1/5 — No free version *2026-03-13, version 3.2.6* You need to make an account with your name and email. After that they ask you to pay $15 a year. If you don’t pay, the app does not work. Waste of time and predatory practices. ### 1/5 — Orphaned Application *2025-08-13, version 3.2.3* Looks pretty clear that the app is abandoned. Data hasn’t updated since 2024. Too bad as it was quite useful in the past. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t update to current day *2025-07-11, version 3.2.3* This app has so much potential to be amazing but it constantly fails to update to current day conditions making it useless for actual use. ### 1/5 — Defunct *2025-06-08, version 3.2.3* The app is seriously broken. It’s not clear what data it’s showing, as very different levels for the current date are shown depending on whether you look on the landing screen or the forecast tab. The “try premium free” button does nothing but superimpose text over the screen and eventually freeze the app. The developer has a multitude of apparently affiliated websites, all updated and broken in weird and amateurish ways. It’s not clear whether there is any pollen sampling actually occurring. ### 1/5 — I tried to add my own allergens after premium subscription but doesn’t work. *2025-03-08, version 3.2.3* Like I said in the title, there are significant bugs. I tried uninstall and reinstall multiple times but only today’s allergens will be shown. The forecasts keep saying “add your allergens”. ### 1/5 — Very little information provided *2024-06-28, version 2.1.1* This app doesn’t provide the level of detail you can get from the Weather Network apps Pollen report—which is ironic as their data source is this company. So if you’d like detailed pollen information for your city, just download the Weather Network app (the one with the yellow icon) and tap on Pollen. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-09-27, version 2.1.1* App doesn’t work anymore. Even when it did it was very slow. Useful when it worked but it seems support for this app has ceased. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Only true pollen count in Canada *2026-06-21, version 3.3.0* The app per se is not that great - the features that complicate it are not truly useful, and they often don’t work. But what makes this worth paying for is true pollen/spore counts from samples taken around the country. By contrast, what WeatherChannel/MétéoMédia/Google show is inference based on recent weather, which is almost useless. ### 5/5 — Best pollen app for Canada *2026-06-15, version 3.3.0* This is the only app with real physical empirically-derived pollen forecasts in Canada.
