 Permissions • Location permissions are needed to determine your location in order to find ATMs. • Camera permissions are needed to deposit checks. 
 Disclosures Deposit limits and other restrictions apply. Alliant’s Mobile Check Deposit Service is subject to eligibility. Some features are available for eligible members and accounts only. There is no charge from Alliant to use the mobile app, but message and data rates may apply.

It’s started by the United Pilot Union and I think the world needs more credit unions and fewer big banks but the app has been getting glitchy and losing features. Every time I have to log on and use 2FA. Face ID isn’t offered anymore. To make sure this wasn’t a bug, I deleted and reinstalled to find I can’t login at all. “An unexpected error has occurred.” The Trouble Logging In button does nothing. It’s fine to have a few bugs but the inability to login, then the inability to troubleshoot that error is unacceptable. I think I’d rather belong to a soulless, destructive big bank and have access to my money than deal with this train wreck anymore. ### 1/5 — Feature *2026-08-22, version 6.2.2* New features like Zelle, dark mode, alert notifications and more coming this fall 2026. Then the website update recently announced now pushed to early 2027. 😡😡😡😡 ### 3/5 — This app is getting worse? *2026-08-19, version 6.2.2* Been an Alliant customer for over 5 years, and the check deposit feature on the app is worse now than it has ever been. Like, so frustrating that it cancels out the convenience of mobile deposit. Please improve this function! I have generally had good experiences with the bank, but the app sorta sucks. ### 2/5 — No notifications *2026-08-13, version 6.2.2* I don’t understand why there aren’t options for notifications for deposits, withdrawals or overdrafts. ### 5/5 — Great experience *2026-08-04, version 6.2.2* Feature are on point and specs are great for this time around in age ### 1/5 — No dark mode *2026-07-17, version 6.2.0* It’s 2026 and this is the ONLY app on my phone that doesn’t have a dark mode icon. The API was released two major iOS versions ago. All my other apps are dark. Yet here’s one of the biggest credit unions in the US with an ugly blue icon on my home screen admit all the dark ones. Sticks out like a sore thumb. ### 3/5 — Undergoes maintenance at the worst times *2026-06-28, version 6.1.9* Alliant itself is fine. But why do they choose Saturday evenings to undergo maintenance. And there’s no push notification system for purchases, so forgotten subscriptions can drain my account for months before I notice. ### 1/5 — Glitches out all the time. *2026-06-18, version 6.1.9* I am only able to review transactions that are 30 days. Nothing older. I have a minor account and I can’t have one login app constantly glitches out. ### 3/5 — Missing a critical feature *2026-06-05, version 6.1.7* Great rates and products, but the lack of Zelle or any way to send instant payments directly to non-owned bank accounts is a major downside. It makes everyday banking more difficult than it should be. The only workaround is using third-party apps like Venmo or Cash App, and recipients often have to pay a fee if they need instant access to their money. Until Alliant adds Zelle or a similar service, this remains one of the biggest gaps in an otherwise excellent credit union. ### 1/5 — Devastating Fraud Experience: Alliant failed to protect my savings *2026-06-03, version 6.1.6* I am a senior citizen, and my experience with this credit union has been devastating. My accounts were hacked, and fraudulent wire transfers were sent from my account without my authorization. What makes this situation even more upsetting is that my family contacted the credit union and disputed the transactions the very same day we discovered the fraud. Despite being notified immediately that my account had been compromised, the credit union still allowed the wire transfer to go through. As an elderly customer who trusted this institution to protect my life savings, I expected far more diligence and concern when clear signs of fraud were reported. Instead of acting quickly to stop the transaction and protect my funds, the credit union failed to take appropriate action, resulting in a significant financial loss. The stress, anxiety, and hardship this has caused me and my family have been overwhelming. Financial institutions have a responsibility to safeguard their members, especially vulnerable seniors who may be targeted by scammers and cybercriminals. In my case, I feel that responsibility was not met. I would strongly caution others—particularly senior citizens and their families—to carefully consider whether this credit union will adequately protect their accounts if fraud occurs.
