## What is Allos?

MUSIC-GUIDED BREATHING FOR CALM, FOCUS, & RESILIENCE
Allos combines engaging music with a simple, science-based breathing practice that helps you quickly reduce stress, improve focus, and build resilience.

THE POWER OF RESONANCE FREQUENCY BREATHING
The practice of gentle, slow breathing at your resonant frequency is a unique form of breathwork that syncs your breath to the natural rhythm of your heart and nervous system.

MUSIC TO MATCH YOUR MOOD
We’ve created a library of customizable music by award-winning composers and producers in multiple genres to guide your breathing practice:

- Lofi/Chill
- Upbeat/Electronic
- Acoustic/World
- Vocal/Harmonic
- Classical/Orchestral
- Ambient/Downtempo
- Atmospheric/Soundscapes
- Nature/Environmental

Browse through the library to find the track that feels right for you in the moment or matches the goal of what you want to feel instead.

CUSTOMIZED TO YOUR IDEAL BREATHING RATE
Explore different breathing rates to discover your unique resonance frequency. Adjust the inhale/exhale ratio for activation or down regulation. The music and visuals automatically adapt to beat at that precise breathing rate and ratio.

SET YOUR TARGET PACE
Use Target Mode to set a starting pace and a target pace so you can slowly reach your ideal breathing rate over time as you relax.

SCIENCE-BASED PROTOCOL
Allos is inspired by the science of HRV biofeedback and resonance frequency breathing. We designed the app to support these practices and to work alongside most HRV biofeedback apps. The breath pacing offered in the app is informed by research showing that slow-paced breathing exercises at your personal resonance frequency may help:

- Reduce stress
- Support emotional balance and self-regulation
- Promote mental clarity and focus
- Prepare for restful sleep
- Encourage post-exercise recovery
- Build resilience to stress

Note: This app is intended for general wellness and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition.

WHAT USERS SAY:

"My own personal sleep aid"

"Spotify for breathwork"

"Helps me focus and reset between tasks"

"Love the music—it actually helps me relax"

PERFECT FOR:
Students: focus before studying, manage pre-exam stress
Breathwork Professionals: Use music to guide research-informed breathing exercises in your classes
Clinicians: Integrate slow-paced breathing into wellness-focused care plans
Athletes: Use before or after training to support recovery and nervous system readiness
Restless Minds at Night: Downshift the nervous system and relax into sleep

JUST 5 MINUTES A DAY
Build a daily habit. Even a few minutes a day of slow breathing with music can help you build resilience for when you need it most.

### 5/5 — Dreamy Experience

*2026-06-13*

I’ve been practicing resonance breathing for a few years now, ever since I first learned about it through Leah Lagos’ book. I’ve mostly used the Elite HRV app because I like being able to connect a chest strap and actually measure HRV during a session. That part is useful. But the breathing experience itself has always felt pretty plain to me. The pacing voices can be startling, and the visuals are not especially engaging.

Allos is missing one thing I’d love to see: the ability to measure heart rate variability in real time during a session. But honestly, the whole experience is so much more aesthetically pleasing that I’m excited to use it.

I just completed 20 minutes of six breaths per minute using the at-rest vocal sound, and I feel deeply relaxed. I didn’t sleep well last night, but after that session I feel damn good.

The visuals are beautiful, almost dreamy, and the sound options make a huge difference. You can choose from vocal, ambient, acoustic, atmospheric, nature sounds, guitar, flute, and more. They don’t just accompany the breath pacing; they shape the whole feeling of the session. Depending on what you need, the experience can be soothing, grounding, spacious, or even gently energizing.

For anyone interested in resonance breathing, nervous system regulation, or simply taking 20 minutes to come back to themselves, Allos is a beautiful app. It turns breath pacing into something you actually want to do.

### 5/5 — Athlete & myofunctional therapist approved!

*2025-08-11*

As an endurance athlete, I've found this app invaluable for recovery and HRV training. I also use it for winding down before bed, and it's been incredibly effective for relaxation. As a myofunctional therapist, I've started recommending it to patients for their breathing exercises, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. I love the visuals and adaptive music that actually changes based on your selected breath rate, such a unique feature!
