The website has a FAQ which confirms they know they are lying in app description and on front page of their site. Developer is on Reddit downvoting against this, claiming it’s an “education tool only” (not mentioned) and they have unique interpretation of what “deposits automatically” means. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Download your family's complete transaction history as a CSV that opens in any spreadsheet, or save a full backup file for safekeeping. Both are in Settings. Your family's data belongs to you. • Four new colors to pick for your kids: Butter, Peach, Aqua and Bubblegum. ### 2026.7.3 — 2026-07-28 • Fixed: allowances sometimes didn't arrive on the day they were due. AllowanceKit was only checking when it started up fresh, so if you reopened it from the background the payment sat waiting. It now checks every time you open the app. • Changing a child's allowance day applies straight away, instead of waiting until the next time you open the app. ### 2026.7.2 — 2026-07-27 • Move money between buckets. Tap the + button on a child's page and choose "Move money" to shift savings from one bucket to another. Handy when birthday money lands in Spend and your child decides to save it instead. • Moves show up properly in history, so it's always clear where money went. That includes the balance transfer when you delete a bucket, which used to happen silently. • Fixed: splitting a spend across several buckets could take money from the first bucket even when a later one didn't have enough. Now nothing is deducted unless the whole split can go through. • AllowanceKit now warns you before editing or deleting an entry would leave a bucket below zero, and tells you where that money went so you can put it back. • A bucket that's gone below zero is now marked as overspent rather than just showing a red number. • Editing a split that included a bucket you've since deleted now shows that part instead of quietly leaving it out of the total. ### 2026.7.1 — 2026-07-25 This one is all about keeping your numbers right. • Renaming a bucket no longer affects your balances. History now follows the bucket's current name, and editing an older entry always adjusts the right bucket. • Editing a split transaction after renaming a bucket no longer leaves a duplicate line behind. • New: Reset All Data in Settings, for when you want to start your family's ledger from scratch. • AllowanceKit now tells you when iCloud sync is unavailable, instead of quietly drifting out of step with your other devices. • Child-locked devices no longer flash the parent view for a moment when opening.
