Why isn’t this app (that we paid hundreds of dollars to use) being updated regularly and worked on during beta os releases so that upon release every September we have a working app? On the off chance that you can get the call to connect, the audio is of such poor quality that it is useless. ### 1/5 — Deeply flawed *2023-02-01, version 5.2.5* We purchased the Allworx platform in late 2021 and have liked the desk phones and the on premise VoIP system but this app does not provide the basic functionality of clear, usable audio. All of my users have complained of static, dropped audio, clicks and pops; etc. this happens whether on WiFi or cell with or without a Bluetooth headset. Most of the users have great internet and good WiFi at home (300mbs+) and still have issues hearing and talking. We don’t care about features and layout, we need to use the phone to take and make calls. The Allworx phone system is quite nice. However, the Reach app is abysmal. So much so that we’re now considering abandoning Allworx altogether to allow our remote workforce to function properly. It has deteriorated into a nonfunctional mess. Uninstalling and reinstalling accomplished exactly nothing. It has never connected to Wi-Fi without issues—not once. Incoming call? Notification appears. I tap answer. “Call Failed.” Outgoing call? It rings. The other person answers. “Call Failed.” At this point, the only consistent feature of this app is its ability to fail at the single task it exists to perform. The developer has had months to fix this, yet somehow a phone app in 2025 cannot reliably make or receive phone calls. That’s not a bug—that’s a masterclass in neglect. I use version 5.2.5.4 and it will not connect to any Bluetooth device. Handset and speaker are fine but cannot connect to any Bluetooth device.
