## What is Almanack?

Benjamin Franklin kept a daily routine. So did Charles Darwin, Haruki Murakami, and Maya Angelou. The almanack, a book of information about the year ahead, is one of the oldest tools for living deliberately.

Almanack is built on a simple belief: when you design your days in advance, you stop reacting to life and start authoring it. A routine isn't a constraint. It's a blueprint that frees your mind to do the things that actually matter.

Inspired by the routines of great artists and thinkers, Almanack helps you visualize your day, no matter what you have in store.

Build: Create routines from activity blocks. Each block is a category of time: work, exercise, meals, creative, and more.
Schedule: Assign routines to days of the week, or override specific dates for one-off days.
Refine: Take inspiration from the greats. Start from a famous routine template and customize it to fit your life.

*2026-03-31*

Having this app has helped me to organize my day much better! It allows me to truly reflect on how I’m spending my time so that I can maximize my work time but also allow time for rest. I love being able to use templates but also have the flexibility to create my own routine. Especially when there are many tasks to complete - I’m much better able to plan.
