ENCRYPTION
Almefy uses IBE encryption and strong authentication based on recommendations of the National Institute of Standards and Technology: a Two-Factor-Authentication based on „What you have“ and „What you know“.

Almefy does not use or transfer passwords that could be hacked or misused; no user credentials are stored on user devices.
PROVEN SECURITY
Almefy uses a Challenge-Response system (One Time Password) and signed encryption based on elliptic curves; the app itself can be protected with a pin in addition to the device pin.
