### 2/5 — Personal Experience

*2026-06-04, version 2.3*

I have been always using this app to keep track of my certain habits and had always helped to give me motivation, especially whenever I looked at the previous logs of my check-ins.
However, a few months ago the logs page became completely empty with just lines.
When I tried fixing this by updating to the latest version, the empty logs still persist. This is really frustrating for me and I’d appreciate if it could be fixed, otherwise I have NO reason to keep this app. I’m on iOS 18 if this helps.

### 2/5 — previous purchases ignored?

*2025-07-07, version 2.1*

i picked up this app a while back and went to download it on my new phone. now there's some subscription service? what happend to the unlock all purchase i made? the restore purchases option doesn't seem to do anything. pretty uncool, i paid for the app only for it to take it away from me

### 4/5 — Widgets

*2025-07-03, version 2.1*

Great app but please make widgets! They would be so cool and also make it easier to engage with the app consistently

### 3/5 — Love it but..

*2025-01-06, version 1.8*

Giving it three stars instead of five because I’ve been using this app for years and I really truly love it. It helps my OCD so much. But there is now a pop up every time you open the app asking you to buy the membership and it really ruins the whole wellness part of the app. I’m fine with it being advertised and accessible but having it thrown in your face EVERY time you open the app is insane. I emailed and never got a reponse. So 🤷🏽‍♀️ it is a bit disappointing.

### 4/5 — Subscription is too expensive

*2024-09-03, version 1.8*

I like this app and have been using it for years now. The membership prices are INSANE though! $70 a year?? It should be a one time payment or much cheaper subscription

### 3/5 — Love but distressing bug- please fix!!

*2024-08-16, version 1.8*

As another reviewer said, I have been using this app for years and love the simple layout, the design, and how well it serves its purpose. It keeps me grounded and reminds me to do basic tasks in a cute, fun way when the rest of my phone can be a distraction. I was proud of the history I had logged, but recently it stopped showing anything when I click on the log book: just a blank white screen, regardless of whether I add new logs. So disappointing after the emotional support scrolling through the history of my self-care used to give. Please, please fix this!

### 5/5 — great

*2024-03-31, version 1.8*

love the app definitely the best of this kind of app but the subscription pop up is annoying if the subscription was a once time purchase i would totally buy it like i said it’s a great app but i am never ever ever gonna buy a subscription so the pop ups kinda irk me lol

### 2/5 — Progress deleted- be aware!

*2024-03-30, version 1.8*

I've used this app for so many purposes for the past few years, but mainly as a journal to keep track of my thoughts. I loved going back and reading my thoughts and seeing my growth.
Recently, a bug on the app was preventing me from seeing any of my past entries. Because there's no way to attach the data to any email or have a backup, when I tried rebooting the app, all of my progress was gone. I've had stuff saved for well over four years.
It was really disheartening to see all of it go away, so I won't use the app again. But other than now, this was the biggest problem I faced with the app.
It still had great features, but keep in mind that anything you write down you should note somewhere else too in case this happens to you too.

### 3/5 — Cutest app on Earth

*2024-01-31, version 1.8*

This app has the cutest art style. I’m so picky with aesthetics on my phone and it kills me, absolutely KILLS me that there is no widget for this app. I mostly use this app as a food diary so i’d love to be able to see what i’ve logged so far on my homescreen without having to open the app. Developers: please hear my cries!!!!

### 4/5 — Spammy

*2024-01-02, version 1.8*

Used to be great. Now it sends you notifications you didn’t ask for with no way to turn them off.

### 5/5 — This app helps a lot

*2023-11-27, version 1.8*

I’m bipolar so it’s hard for me to do normal every day things. This app makes it easier for me to keep on track with things while making it pretty and fun while doing so. It’s appealing to the eye so I actually look at the app rather than avoiding it. It’s really a life saver.

### 4/5 — Dark mode?

*2023-11-14, version 1.8*

I love it, but I can’t seem to find the dark mode! Can you help me?

### 5/5 — Yay, study icons!

*2023-10-23, version 1.7*

I didn’t really like the new icons, they don’t really fit the cute aesthetic, but still good to have study reminders! ^^

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Paid Features Removed

*2026-07-17, version 2.4*

I'm a long-time user and all my paid lifetime premium features were taken away when they moved to subscription. Really shocked and disappointed.

### 1/5 — In-app purchases gone after update

*2026-06-09, version 2.4*

I couldn't report this issue to the Aloe Bud site because its broken. I bought the Reminders Bundle awhile back which included the icon packs and custom reminders, but when I opened the app after updating it there is now a page that offers me a monthly or annual subscription and at the bottom where I clicked "restore purchases" I got a message that says "nothing to restore". I hope the developers aren't purposefully taking away features people have already paid for because that would be unfair and shady.

### 1/5 — Purchases don’t matter!

*2025-11-07, version 2.2*

Been a long time user for years, and after changing phones and reinstalling, it turns out that any bundles you’ve purchased no longer matter now that they have move to a subscription service!! just to create your own reminders and to get the additional icons from the bundle! restore purchases button does nothing, and support is unresponsive.

it’s an aesthetically cute app, but your better off just managing reminders in the calendar or reminder apps

### 1/5 — Bad

*2025-06-03, version 2.1*

I hate it is barely has any other settingings whatsoever although the layout is cute I found better functioning apps

### 1/5 — Monthly premium scam

*2025-02-25, version 1.9*

Years ago I purchased the custom and premium reminders from this app hoping it would make it better. This app is barely usable without it. These features weren’t worth the money so I deleted the app. Now they want monthly payments despite me previously having premium? Ok. Deleted again. Garbage fr.

### 1/5 — cant restore purchase.

*2024-05-08, version 1.8*

had the bundle before yall changed it to stupid monthly payments, cant get it back. maybe dont make profit off peoples mental health?

### 1/5 — Can't restore previous purchase

*2024-02-18, version 1.8*

I bought the Reminders Bundle IAP for this app when it was still available. With the switch to the subscription model as of v1.6 (August 2, 2023), I've been locked out of my previous purchase and now must subscribe for those features.

### 1/5 — Glitching

*2023-04-06, version 1.3*

I love this app but it’s recently been glitching. The entire left side of the app is just blank, it won’t add any more habits. When I check in for one tab, it suddenly duplicates and deletes another. I have to repeatedly recreate habits and notifications just to have them be deleted when I check in on a different habit. Please fix this, I really love this app and I use it for my medication reminders. It’s unusable like this.

### 1/5 — Cute Idea, Does Not Work

*2022-06-22, version 1.2*

The overall idea is sweet but why are there no notifications EVEN when I set up reminders? I would love the app if it had these 😭

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2021-02-23, version 1.1*

Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2026-04-29, version 2.3*

Very helpful for anyone forgetful

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-04-23, version 2.3*

Helped me set better habits

### 5/5 — It’s so goodfd

*2026-02-25, version 2.3*

It helps a lot when like I’m not doing all that but I love it so much

### 5/5 — perfect and simple, never overwhelming

*2026-02-11, version 2.3*

i’ve been a huge fan of this app for over 5 years now. it has the perfect and simple interface while still being aesthetically pleasing. the reminders are so sweet and gentle, and you can set them for anything you could possibly need. i’ve used it throughout college, my career, and my mental health journey overall so much to the point where it just feels like part of me. even better is that even though there’s a paywall for certain features, the app is still perfectly functional without it AND they offer a free membership for those who are low income. i’ve never seen any app truly take that much HONEST care of just helping people get (even the simplest) care regardless of their income. i feel like a lot of developers should follow in their footsteps as all mental health care should be able to be afforded by anyone who needs it and this team actually puts their money where their mouth is. absolutely amazing.

### 5/5 — Consistent and Solid Self-Care app

*2025-11-04, version 2.2*

It’s always been a solid app over the past 5+ years (I downloaded it after a recommendation). Aside from reminders and affirmations, it helps me keep track of time during the day, and it’s become a way better version of daily reminders

### 5/5 — Enjoyable App

*2025-06-27, version 2.1*

I love Aloe Bud! For a good few months I did not use it and it is still the best habit "tracker" in terms of motivation and mental health in my experience. The content and themes are very simple making it easy to navigate and use. Aloe Bud also includes a lot of adorable free content, I do not pay for the in-app purchases but even without them you can fully use and get benefits from this app. Being able to choose the difference between an activity of writing/ answering a question and simply clicking a button also helps to keep me from getting bored or overwhelmed with the notifications. Overall really enjoyable app!

### 5/5 — review

*2025-04-06, version 1.9*

super useful app, backed for both ios + android versions on the original kickstarter for AB in Aug 2017. hope you add widgets (important!) and more customization to the buttons, like freedom to rename. i’d also love randomized reminder times option to dodge reminder fatigue. a feature to set the days of your week/wknd days would be very helpful to those without M-F. settings needs an overhaul with settings and less community links/ads. great app since conception.

### 5/5 — Joyful reminders to integrate mindfulness & manifestation goals into action

*2025-03-03, version 1.9*

I signed up years ago and get cute little reminders occasionally that make me smile.

I just revamped my actively cards and will make this core to my daily wellness needs.

This is a great way to integrate and personal growth work into your daily life. I’m so excited to use this instead of calendar reminders! I just customized reminders aligned with my goals.

What I was looking for to improve my life was already sending me reminders all along.

### 5/5 — Would Love to have widgets!

*2024-10-31, version 1.8*

I really enjoy this app. It’s very low stress and low notification fatigue. The icons and overall app design are very cute and simple. Aloe Bud really helps me take better care of myself. My only wish is that they had a version that offered widgets. I find it easier to have the widgets on my Home Screen to remind me of my tasks.

### 5/5 — Aleo

*2024-07-12, version 1.8*

i would 10/10 recommend this app it is very useful and you will be healthier than you would ever think you would be . It helps you get motivated and makes you way more active then you were before you should really get into process with Aleo Bud .! 😉
