## What is Aloha Critter Club?

Aloha Critter Club is a safe, teacher-moderated platform that brings animal welfare education to elementary classrooms. Built for the Aloha Critter Club nonprofit, students share photos and short reflections from their hands-on work caring for animals — from classroom critters to local shelters and farms. Teachers review every post before it appears, and parents can follow their child's club through observer accounts.

 WHAT STUDENTS CAN DO
  • Post photos and voice notes from club activities
  • Comment on classmates' posts (with teacher approval)

  WHAT TEACHERS CAN DO
  • Approve student posts and comments before they appear
  • Manage class rosters and invite codes
  • Share curriculum-aligned animal welfare content
  • Message students and parents privately

  WHAT PARENTS CAN DO
  • Follow their child's club as a verified observer
  • See moderated posts and milestones
  • Stay connected to the classroom without being on social media

  SAFE BY DESIGN
  • Teacher moderation on every post and comment
  • No public feed — content stays inside each club
  • No advertising, ever
  • Built by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Hawaii's keiki

Aloha Critter Club is free for participating schools.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-05-11

What's new in 1.0.1:

  Volunteer Time Log
Students can now track their volunteer hours right in the app. Teachers
and admins get a built-in viewer to filter by date or club and export

Made a typo or want to add to your work? Students can now edit their own
posts after submitting. Approved edits go back to the review queue for a
  quick re-check.

  Multi-Photo Posts
Share a slideshow! Upload multiple photos in one post — the feed
  auto-advances through them.

Video & Voice in the Feed
Watch student videos and listen to short voice reflections without
  leaving the feed.

  Curriculum Updates
Teachers and admins can now download any uploaded curriculum guide,
and edit which schools a guide is shared with.

  Messaging Improvements
New "Sent" tab so you can see what you've sent at a glance, plus a
larger composer that's easier to write in.

  Smoother iPhone Uploads
