## What is Alongside?

Alongside is a private epilepsy companion for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. It is designed for adults managing their own care and for parents, partners, and caregivers supporting someone else.

RECORD WHAT HAPPENED

- Log seizures, possible seizures, auras, medication side effects, falls or injuries, and other events.
- Add the event type, time, duration, awareness, recovery, context, rescue medication use, injury, emergency response, and notes.
- Record who made an entry when someone else is helping.

STAY ORGANIZED

- Keep medication schedules and record taken, skipped, or missed doses.
- Set optional local medication reminders with medication names hidden by default.
- Add daily check-ins for sleep, mood, stress, illness, and whether medication was taken as planned.
- Search and filter a single timeline of events, doses, and check-ins.
- Store a user-entered care plan, medication list, and care contacts for offline access.
- Export the complete record for a profile as unencrypted JSON whenever you choose.

Review a free 30-day summary of recorded events, durations, medication entries, check-ins, and context. Check the summary for accuracy, then share it for an appointment when you choose.

Alongside Premium adds 90-day and one-year views, shareable summaries across those longer ranges, and separate profiles for up to five people.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Alongside stores records on your device and syncs them through your private iCloud database so they can become available on supported devices signed in to the same Apple Account. You must be signed in to iCloud, and iCloud must be available. Initial sync and changes made while offline can take time to appear on another device.

Third-party app data in iCloud is encrypted in transit and on Apple’s servers. Alongside has no developer-operated account, advertising, health-data analytics, or tracking. The app hides records when it is inactive.

An exported JSON file contains sensitive health information, is not encrypted, and becomes a separate copy controlled through the location or service you choose.

An eligible Alongside Premium purchase can be available across supported Apple platforms through the App Store. Records sync only through the private iCloud database for the Apple Account using the app; subscription access does not share health records with another Apple Account.

Optional repeatable one-time support purchases are separate from Premium. They do not renew and do not unlock features.

IMPORTANT

Alongside records and organizes user-entered information. It does not detect, monitor, predict, diagnose, or treat seizures. Care-plan instructions are not checked by Alongside; review them with a clinician. Alongside cannot summon help or contact emergency services. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

SUBSCRIPTION AND TERMS

Alongside Premium is an auto-renewable subscription, offered as a monthly or an annual plan. Pricing for your country or region is shown in the App Store before you purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.
