The developer did not test in UAT before releasing to the public. Follow instructions which ultimately fail as no Bluetooth connection appears 3. Turn back on the units wifi 4. But…the App NEVER WORKED even with all the videos and instructions. Now… after 10 months, dehumidifier is broken. I get a constant E5 error on the coil temp screen. 1 fix with a temp probe sent. No good. Same error 4 hrs into running. There is something inherently wrong with this machine now. We may big bucks for this unit and app should be deleted and start from scratch . ### 1/5 — Non-Operational Via WiFi *2026-03-19, version 3.6* This app is supposed to connect to your home’s WiFi so you can monitor and control the DH remotely from anywhere. Great idea but the app and dehumidifier don’t work with iOS26. No doubt the interface relies on a server somewhere which isn’t maintained, so the app remains broken, resulting in no remote control feature with the phone app. You “can” use “direct connect” which is useless (you have to be standing right next to the thing, just use the on board controls that point.) AlorAir should be reported/investigated for jacking up the cost of their DHs to $1000’s claiming remote control that doesn’t exist. It’s unfortunate they rely on Chinese manufacturing & app coding (with some menus still in Chinese!) instead of engineering and TESTING in North America to deliver a product, and app, that actually works. ### 1/5 — Cannot get the app to talk to the dehumidifier. *2025-10-15, version 3.6* I’ve tried every combination imaginable to get the app to connect to the AlorAir dehumidifier. Wi-Fi, Direct Mode, hotspot on, hotspot off, etc., but to no avail. The reason I got the WiFi model was so I wouldn’t have to drag myself into a crawl space to adjust the settings. Example, the whole app is pleasantly in English, my default language, but a yes no pop up that is very familiar looking to me because it is present in many other apps, just the simple grey pop up overlay, is in Chinese.
