Annoying app *2025-11-17, version 8* Sorry but the new app is a backwards step. Navigation seems slower and clunkier. Worst of all though is that the domain used to login does not include the ALPAKA name. I’ve had to manually add some weird domain name that I don’t recognise to the passwords app in order to log in. This seems very odd. Also, I logged in to view the basket and then had to log in again to check my rewards. Whoever is in charge of this doesn’t seem to know what they are doing! ### 3/5 — App discounts code disappears!? *2024-09-19, version 5.4* I download the app to get my discount code but can’t find it? Then a notification pops up on my phone for the discount code but when I press it there is no code applied in the app? There has to be a better system? ### 4/5 — Great products, website needs customer service page/ spot *2024-08-30* I’ve enjoyed my sling purchases from them, but sadly lost my magnetic ring peice it came with, which is not the hub keychain. I had to use the website and not the app to find a way to ask a question about getting it replaced. App has random missing parts to dimensions etc etc etc. Forced to swipe image galleries instead of getting tappable thumbnails (some of which have 50’s of images). Elements way too huge on a Pro Max iPhone, space not well used. ### 4/5 — Fine, but… *2024-04-21, version 4.9* I have to admit that I am a little bag addicted and also a fan of Alpaka gear - great stuff at reasonable prices even with eco-ideas applied at times! The app follows that concept and focuses my experience successfully on available products as well as special actions etc., so it does mostly what I expect a good app to do. A caveat however is, since I do pretty much all things cross-device with my iPad, that the app is optimized for iPhone only. Furthermore, my basket is not synchronized, that seems to be local to the device only. While other items (favorites and wishlist) are synchronized, continuing shopping isn‘t possible. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement *2024-04-10, version 4.9* Using this app makes me miss the Alpaka website. A few issues: • Saving an item takes FOREVER. It’s faster to just add the to cart or notify when available instead. • Dimensions drop down in the item description does not work at all for all the Zip Pouch and Zip Pouch Pro pages. Having a decent bag for my essentials is very important to me. This is my third alpaka bag of different styles, every bag I would routinely carry has been replaced by an alpaka product. So well thought out, utterly designed around the need for tough bags that work in synchrony with your body, not against. The water resistant zips are genius - wouldn’t suspect being watertight being dropped in the sea, but splashes and rain really don’t matter. Sleek and pickpocket resistant is brilliant. From every day to travel they tick the boxes. The magnetic clip strap on the bravo is sublime - it’s almost like a fiddle toy it’s so tactile. Will be buying more as the constant improvements to the kit make it hard to resist. After reviewing the item on Pinterest, and then on the website, I proceeded to purchase the item, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the fabric, the material, and the EDC utility of the item. Will definitely be returning to purchase more full-size items instead of sling bags, because of how well this fits with my lifestyle.
