## What is Alpha Pay Online?

Through the Alpha Pay Online application, Alpha Bank Romania cardholders will be able to authenticate e-commerce purchases using biometric capabilities or other security keys available at the device level. For security reasons, cardholders must validate their identity in the Alpha Pay Online application by registering with the last 6 digits of their card number, the mobile phone number registered with the Bank, and the password declared to the Bank. An SMS will be sent to the cardholder’s phone number to confirm its validity. To complete the registration successfully, the cardholder must set a 6-digit PIN code. In order to have a successful Registration, a SMS will be sent to the cardholder’s phone number to validate the registration process.
When an ecommerce transaction is made, the cardholder will receive through Alpha Pay Online a Push Notification to inform about the e-commerce transaction that needs to be authorized. The customer will tap on push notification which will redirect to the screen with transaction details where the cardholder have the option to cancel the transaction with a click on “CANCEL” button or will authenticate the transaction with a click on “CONFIRM” button. Even though the client doesn`t have the Push notification active /will not click on Push Notification and will go directly to the Alpha Pay Online icon he will be directed to the screen with transaction details where he can authenticate the transaction with a click on “CONFIRM” button or cancel the transaction with a click on “CANCEL” button.
