It's easy to use and does a great job teaching letters and mind solving problems. My nephews have used "Alphabet Aquarium School Adventure Vol 1" for only a few days so far and their grasp of the English alphabet has definitely increased quite a bit in that short period of time. With that said this is an amazing app for parents to teach their children the alphabet with no fuss at all! I currently have a daughter whom I still teaching the alphabet too and one thing I love about this app is that on top of the alphabet it also teaches children to recognize puzzle solving and recognizing different species of animals and the letter they start with so it also helps them out with spelling on top of that! The mixture of animals, colours and the user interface is made perfectly so it’s very easy for even kids to use! What really makes this app worth your while though is the use of multiple puzzles and how that affects the child, I can point to an animal and my daughter can tell me what the animals name is now, which is terrific I must say! So if you have a child that either has started learning the alphabet at school and you want to give them a hand or even better if you home school your child this would be absolutely perfect for it! As a parent I would highly recommend this app to every other parent out there who wishes to really give their child a head start or even give them a hand in learning puzzle solving as well as the alphabet because this is the perfect app to use! My daughter is 3 1/2, and she has a mild form of autism. It is really nice to see how she loves this app. She wants to play with the aquarium all the time. Alphabet Aquarium is a great app that teaches children shapes of letters. The interface is very simple to use for children. I wish i'd found these a year or two ago! It's a much better use of her time on my phone than the other games for kids. Also, "U is for ugly" is referring to a dog? There are other words that could have been used. However some flaws include the addition of notifications which is inappropriate for young children; other similar apps avoid this. The animation performance speed is slow even on an iPad 3 with the latest system software. They use the word ugly and then there is a picture of an English bulldog. I have a bulldog so it's offensive to me and my child using the app. She expressed it was a mean thing to say. Not to mention kids should not be taught a hurtful word like that. How has nobody commented on the exorcist bear?!? The thing's head spins all the way around, it's super creepy. I had to turn the animal feature off because.... Screw that. Also, the voice is pretty creepy too, but after seeing a cartoon bear's head spin all the way upside down, pretty much everything seems scarier. Anyways, please fix the dang bear.
