### 5/5 — Super Cute-Great for the Little Ones!

*2014-12-31, version 1.0.2*

Cute animals and familiar everyday objects incorporate mazes in to this fun educational app that's perfect for beginners!! Journeying through mazes and tracing letters are wonderful tools for teaching new users how to use an iPad/iPhone. Rhyming words are explored as well as ABCs and practicing writing letters. The fun graphics and catchy music help hold your little one's attention while they learn. Great for the littles!!

### 5/5 — Great, Educational App

*2014-12-31, version 1.0.2*

As an aunt to loads of little ones, I am always looking for things I can recommend to family members. This is one of those things that I highly recommend. Most kids nowadays have all sorts of electronics that they rarely put down so why not give them something educational that is also fun? This app is full of bright, vibrant colors . My nephews really enjoyed the maze as well as the uppercase letter game. We're still working on the rhyming words game but its fun and time well spent.

### 5/5 — A Maze of Fun

*2014-12-31, version 1.0.2*

We love doing the mazes together. At first my daughter needed help but then she was able to do them on her own and was so proud of her self. Her favorite activity is the tracing of the letters. Now each day she is asking to trace all the letters of the Alphabet!! Cannot ask for than that. Apps that are fun and promote learning are our favorite and the best ones to download and share. This is kid friendly and fun to play and learn.

### 5/5 — Makes learning fun!

*2014-12-31, version 1.0.2*

*Update - This app taught my daughter the correct way to write her letters using her finger and now my son is using it too! This is an exceptional app for beginners learning to read and write. It starts with mazes, and rhyming words, giving my kids practice with listening to instructions and getting them used to using their finger for tracing in the next activities. Next, my kids are able to work on their uppercase letters. There is a word and picture given for each letter, then it teaches my kids the correct way to write the letter using arrows. Great app!

### 5/5 — Wonderful App

*2014-12-30, version 1.0.2*

Another awesome app, helping me teach my young nephew how to trace and he is actually having fun doing so. The best part is the mazes are a lot of fun and so easy. He thinks its so cool that the bone is laying there, and he drags the bone through the maze and the dog finds it. Another awesome app.
If your looking for a great teaching app, this is the one for you!

### 5/5 — Fun and Educational

*2014-12-29, version 1.0.2*

The Kids Academy reading and writing app is amazing! The three free games on this app are really fun for children. The kids really love these games and can't wait to play. They even want to play when you aren't doing it with them because they have so much fun with it. They are really easy for children to follow and I think that's why they enjoy then so much!

### 5/5 — Amazing App For Your Child!

*2014-12-28, version 1.0.2*

This incredible app is just great for any toddler learning writing basics! I love all of the free games that it comes with: mazes, rhyming words, and uppercase letters. Each of the activities are incredibly easy for little fingers to do. I do sit and interact with my child while he is using the app, but any child could do it easily on their own. This app is so valuable for any kiddo. The tracing of the letters, are especially an invaluable resource for parents. My child mastered his letters in a matter of weeks because of this app. I really cannot say how amazing it is for children. I truly believe each child should have access to it. The app makes it so fun and easy for any child to learn.

### 5/5 — Not Just for Kids Fun

*2014-12-28, version 1.0.2*

I'm always looking for ways to keep my mom entertained. She has end-stage Alzheimer's Disease, which means she's a toddler in an adult body. When I learned about this app, I couldn't wait to try it out. Mom has limited motor skills and has difficulty comprehending most commands. Because of her limitations I look for apps that will keep her engaged. I look for bright colors, clear graphics, and an upbeat background noise.

After downloading this app, I opened it and found the music to be happy. Mom immediately started dancing. She especially liked the sounds of the birds chirping. We started with tracing the numbers, and while this was difficult for her, she liked repeating the commands. The narrator would say "one" and my mom would repeat it. She liked the bees flying around the screen and when I would successfully trace the number, the narrator would say "good job", for which mom repeated.

Because I had only the free version, I couldn't advance in the program. The cost of the whole package is $9.99 and I believe would be worth the money if I were using this for a child. Since mom has Alzheimer's, the free version is sufficient for us.

I would highly recommend this app as it does have beautifully bright colors, clear graphics, and fun background music. My mom gets excited when I open this app, which makes me excited. Definitely a 5-star rating for this app.

### 5/5 — great update

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

Not only does it develop spelling, writing, and reading skills but it also helps to build a child’s confidence. It makes a child want to learn because it is fun. Not only are they learning how to develop good handwriting skills they also learn how each letter sounds. I love that this program was made so that no matter if your child is right or left handed they can still use it.

### 5/5 — Rated for ages 4+ but great for 2+

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

My granddaughter is super smart. She has had her own iPad since she was one and knows her ABC's and can count up to 13. I attribute her smartness to apps like this and Preschool & Kindergarten Baby books. People think that iPad's are bad for the little ones, but they are really educational and can teach them so much. I highly recommend them.

### 5/5 — Makes Learning Fun!

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

This app has vibrant colors and fun music that kids love. Easy to use and super convenient to take with you wherever you go, whether waiting in a doctor's office or having fun in the car. Based on the proven Montessori learning method, Kids Academy develops spelling, writing and reading skills through fascinating games! In this app from Kids Academy, children practice their handwriting skills with fun games and learn their letters by tracing along the dotted lines on the screen of the iPad or iPhone. They also learn words that begin with that letter and learn both upper and lower case. Another fun activity is filling a jar with fireflies when they trace numbers correctly. There are left and right hand modes to accomodate your children and different levels of difficulty. This free version is upgradable with more games and features should you desire to unlock them.

### 5/5 — Great apps for kids

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

Sending your kid to school is one those milestones that you shouldn’t miss and should look forward to, you see to it that they are well prepared. By the time that they can already count basic numbers and can identify letters, Alphabet Tracing and Montessori math puzzle would be of great help. This app is free and just imagine how much fun your child will have while learning. Any free app that helps your child learn is worth trying out to see how they like it and how much they can learn.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

I’ve had trouble teaching my daughter how to write. Her writing is messy, as expected, but it has caused her to be disinterested. That’s the benefit of this app. She loves to learn and the ease of using this program helps her take her time and write properly. After just a little while, she could write easily recognizable letters. We’re really excited about this next year!

### 5/5 — Educational and FUN at the same time

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

As a mom I truly love when I find a APP for my children and their friends to play that is not only fun for them but educational at the same time. The only thing my daughter complains about is the fact that I have to ask her to get off the game. The free version offers 3 different games and I believe it is worth every penny to purchase the full version. The tracing ability on this APP has been fantastic as I now see my daughter writing her letters and getting better at it too. Love the Kids Academy APPS.

### 5/5 — Entertaining Learning App!

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

I was very pleasantly surprised by how well this learning app worked for teaching the little ones. Many times children don't want to sit down and do school. But what happens when it is fun?? They tend to sit down and play for a while, never realizing they are being taught! This app teaches the alphabet and numbers as well as spelling. They trace the numbers to fill the jar with fireflies, touch cats, bees and alligators to learn sounds and then trace letters in lower and upper case. Fun and entertaining, they won't even know they are doing school!!

### 5/5 — Easy to Navigate, Educational, and Entertaining

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

If you are wondering where to find a FREE app for your little learner, you should download the latest version of Alphabet tracing and Montessori educational math puzzle. This app will not only help your toddler learn to write letters, but will also develop good handwriting skills. This app would definitely help your little one build his or her skills progressively, from tracing to writing at their own pace. It comes with very clear graphics, it's easy to navigate, educational, fun to use and very entertaining.

### 5/5 — Great Writing Reinforcement

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

Our three year old is in the process of learning how to write letters on his own and this app is very helpful in reinforcing this skill. We have been working with our son on the free version of this app for a few weeks and are pleased with his fine motor skill development and tracing progress.

### 5/5 — Great skill for early writing

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

I love this app. It's a fantastic learning app for your children either in preschool or getting ready for preschool. We use this app in my preschool class and everyone loves it. The fun characters are great for young kids. They love the positive feedback they get from the happy dancing dog when they complete a game. I love that they're learning and having fun. Tracing is so important in beginning writing and this makes it fun.

### 5/5 — Great app for preschoolers

*2014-12-27, version 1.0.2*

The Alphabet tracing & Montessori educational math puzzle for toddler Free by Kids Academy Co is great for a free app. We haven’t paid for the upgraded version yet, but the free version offers plenty of entertainment. I love the Montessori-based teaching and the activities are perfectly age appropriate. Even my second-graders can work on fine motor skill development with this app.

### 5/5 — Alphabet App

*2014-12-26, version 1.0.2*

This is an updated app that is great for preschoolers to learn with. Although some preschoolers may not be ready for word rhyming, they will enjoy the learning to form letters, along with the fun characters this app has to offer. They will eventually work into writing words. The maze portion will also teach them coordination as they trace the paths.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 5/5 — Update: Amazing App!

*2015-10-29, version 1.0.2*

Kids can learn math very easily with this app. Math is hard for adults as well but if you start them off early with an amazing app like this, the possibilities are endless! It’s such an amazing app and it’s all here for your preschooler to learn everything he or she needs to before they head off to Kindergarten. My 4 year old Daughter approves!

### 5/5 — Great learning tool for kids

*2015-04-04, version 1.0.2*

The app comes with three main challenges to help kids learn rhyming, writing, and guiding.

The presentation is great, and the cute characters and their animations are perfect for an educational game for kids.

The exercises themselves are well executed and understandable for children, with the exception of the rhyming exercise that could possibly be improved with saying the object names.

There were some strange orientation issues when starting the game where the screen wouldn't orientate properly, but it eventually corrected itself each time.

Overall, a great educational game with a huge amount of challenges that will keep children entertained and learning for hours.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2015-01-18, version 1.0.2*

Great app to use for young learners! My kids love the ability to trace letters. This helps with their basic reading and writing skills. They love trying their hardest in order to get the 3 stars. The maze game helps to develop fine motor skills. They love helping the puppy get his prize. Would definitely recommend for others!

### 5/5 — granitestatemommy

*2015-01-16, version 1.0.2*

This is my favorite app out of all the Kid Academy apps. I love how this app is laid out. It gives parents the options to chose right handed mode and left handed mode. I find it tough to find apps for my left handed son, but this one works. It teaches children how to properly write their letters and numbers. It has great in-app purchase options to expand what the free app allows. It also helps kids with phonics and has some fun activities that will keep them preoccupied.

### 5/5 — Fun Tracing

*2015-01-13, version 1.0.2*

Alphabet tracing is one of my daughters favorite things to do, she really enjoyed this activity and I liked the way it progressed in difficulty, from bubble letter to line tracing. It was very smooth and nice how it doesn't just accept anything. It'll make you try again if its not very close to how it is supposed to be written. She really enjoyed the number tracing on this game as well.

### 5/5 — Learning made fun

*2015-01-08, version 1.0.2*

We have been working a lot with our daughter to help get her prepared to start school. She is three now and these apps really seem to be doing a great job at helping her progress. She loves the different games they have which are easy maze, rhyming words and uppercase letters. Kids Academy is doing an amazing job with their apps.

### 5/5 — Teaching so Much!

*2015-01-06, version 1.0.2*

This is teaching my son so much. I'm grateful that this app was made. So much interactive learning in this that it's amazing. He wants to learn more and more on his own and he even comes to me to do it on his own now too. He loves the sounds and he giggles at them and gets excited when he learns new activities. I like that he can work at his own pace too. Another A+ app.

### 5/5 — Great Montessori app from Kids Academy!

*2015-01-02, version 1.0.2*

Looking for a great app to utilize for your preschooler or kindergarten aged little? Look no further! The games are fun and help with fine motor skills, as well as learn with the Montessori based app. Most parents I know elect to have some sort of app on their phone or iPad to entertain their littles when they need a few moments of uninterrupted time, and this app is definitely great for that! Why just let them play when you can let them play and learn? Five star app!!

### 5/5 — Tracing fun

*2015-01-01, version 1.0.2*

My little girl loves tracing the letters and numbers with this app. She gets so excited when she is able to do it herself. She is still learning, so this app is perfect for challenging her with attainable goals. There are fun math puzzles as well, which are just a bit more advanced, and I love that she can grow with this app. I love having something that s fun for her, but that is also helping her get a head start on the knowledge she will need for preschool.

### 5/5 — Fun and Educational

*2014-12-31, version 1.0.2*

This builds on the previous app by introducing your preschooler to writing both uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet. The app takes tracing to eventually writing alphabetical characters. It also teaches your young one the sound of each characters as they are applied in words and rate's them accordingly. This app is a wonderful way of introducing children to the basics of writing and reading.
