## What is Alphamingo?

Story time, without needing to know all the words.

Alphamingo is an alphabet of little stories. Tap a letter and the page reads itself out loud, lighting up each word as it is said, so your child follows along and says them back.

Anna has an apple and meets an ant. A funny fish lives on a farm. Iggy is in the igloo, finding ice cream. One for every letter, right through to Z.

Read it together in the evening, or let them carry on ahead. Either way, they are picking up English while they enjoy a book, which is how it happens best.

Made for young children, and for whoever is sitting beside them.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.7 — 2026-09-24

New: Letters. Hear each letter's name and its sound, then sound out short words and blend them — tap a letter, or drag along the dots to hear the whole word.

A new first screen: Books and Letters side by side, and Keep going takes you straight back to the page or word you were on.

Sharper pictures, books that read nicely with the phone on its side, and everything still works offline.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-07

Choose who reads to you. Every book now has three narrators: Alex, Yurii and Mary. Tap the narrator button at the top of a book to pick one, and the story reads in that voice with the words lit up as they are spoken.

The new voices are warmer and clearer. Small fixes and tidying too.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-04
