## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-10-24

• Camptocamp route guides: over 58,000 routes, with grades, elevation gain, gear and a grade filter
• New sports: rock climbing, ice climbing, via ferrata, snowshoeing, mountain biking, slackline
• Redesigned hut pages: staffed season, phone, website, online booking
• Snow depth and fresh snow outside France too
• New base maps: Satellite topo and Aspect
• Heatmap by sport, with a choice of palette
• Reports: place them right on the map

### 1.0.7 — 2026-10-23

• Photos from your outings: photos taken while recording or imported from Strava now appear along the track and in the activity details, with a full-screen viewer.
• Redesigned heatmap: sharper, faster, with a new "All sports" option.
• Activities load faster.
• Fixed: photo uploads (profile, field reports, recording photos) were failing.
• The location button now stays at the bottom right of the map.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-22

• Snow conditions: the "Avalanches" layer is now "Snow conditions". The map shows today's avalanche danger, snow depth or 72-hour fresh snow. It also shows avalanches and "whumpfs" reported by the community over 24 h, 72 h or 7 days.
• Avalanche bulletins beyond France: Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Bavaria, Slovenia, Andorra and Spain are now covered, with official EAWS bulletins. Each bulletin gives the avalanche problems, aspects, elevations and trend.
• Weather stations across the Alps: on top of Météo-France, you now get hourly readings from MeteoSwiss, GeoSphere Austria and other official networks.
• Richer hut pages: capacity, guarded periods, phone, official website and a booking link, right in the app.
• More reliable email sign-in: the sign-in link now works even when it's opened on another device.
• Faster, more stable startup, faster activity saving (including Apple Health import) and various fixes.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-21

What's new
- Summit finder: tap the binoculars on the map and point your phone at the mountains. The skyline and the names of the visible summits appear over the camera view. Drag to line up the horizon with the terrain, pinch to adjust the zoom.
- Strava import: bring in your whole Strava history (activities, routes and photos) from your profile. Everything is imported as private. You can close the app during the import: a notification tells you when it's done.
- Coros and Polar: connect your Coros or Polar watch from your profile and your activities show up in Alpstrack automatically.

Improvements
- More reliable Suunto connection: you now link your account in your browser, on Suunto's official site.
- Smoother display of routes, tracks and points of interest on the map.
- Map buttons now have labels, read by VoiceOver and shown on long press.
- Bug fixes and stability improvements.
