I know there was maintenance issues but surely it shouldn’t be for this long. I’ve tried everything but still it’s giving me trouble ### 1/5 — Appalling App *2025-05-02, version 9.3.4* If you want a bank account that refuses you access every time they update their software Al Rayan is the bank for you. I have had an account with them since 2019 and while they used to have excellent customer service it is now appalling. Average time to get through to a live person 22 minutes. The app refuses to log you in every time they have a software update even though you know your username and password. This wasn’t too much of a problem when customer service was good and they could resolve your problem with a single phone call that was answered promptly but today I have had to make 2 phone calls holding for 20 mins each time, the customer adviser has also phoned me back and still I cannot access my money. ### 1/5 — Pretty Dire App *2025-04-21, version 9.3.4* Unable to log in again as it says authentication failed as soon as I click login button . At one point I was locked out of the app for 3 months and despite speaking to numerous people on the phone, the answer was that they can't help as it's an IT issue. Randomly one day it'll just log you out and refuse to accept any credentials. Half the time the error pages are blank. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-03-12, version 9.2.0* The app used to work fine. But after I updated it about a month ago it stopped working. Now just a blank white screen. Almost a month later and still no update to fix it. They only issue quarterly statements and on random dates so if you needed a re fault stament or had an emergency say for references, they will make you pay a fortune for it. The worst customer service have ever had to deal with it. Asked them to charge me but send me a statement asap, they refused saying wait five days. Absolute nightmare, might look good on paper but once you sign up, you are doomed. Can’t wait to move to another bank ### 1/5 — Awful *2025-11-04, version 9.4.3* Many things do not work, including most importantly transferring money to an external account! When setting up payment you cannot fill all the necessary fields due to glitches . Camera to scan QR code to get on to the desktop version when you have given up on trying their ridiculous app also does not work. Glitchy and poor user interface. I could go on. Not fit for use in 2025 and I don’t think Al Rayan even care. ### 1/5 — Super unfriendly app *2025-09-23, version 9.4.3* I’ve never come across such a user unfriendly app!! I have 4 accounts in uk competitor banks and 4 others in other countries, non of them has such a complicated app like Al Rayan. Web site worked almost ok, instead of putting this energy and time to make it related to 2020 you created an app which literally could have been ok probably 4 decades ago (if at all).
