From the glowing retro vector graphics to the smooth action, I haven’t had this much fun shooting rocks in ages. I would give this app 5 stars and tell every GenX kid at heart to get this pronto, BUT I think some minor improvements need to be made in order to get that extra star: 1) You should reward an extra life at some reasonable interval, maybe even at the completion of a level if you pass it without dying. Going 4-5 levels without gaining at least ONE extra life is pretty harsh and not really motivating. 2) There should be a SAVE function to pick up where you left off. It’s disheartening to make so much progress then lose it all in an instant. Yet overall, I would say this is the next best thing to the real deal. Thanks for your time and effort in making a truly entertaining and addictive game. ### 4/5 — The Best Asteroids Game Currently In App Store… *2022-01-26, version 1.0.4* If ur somehow reading this, then good for you… Now let’s jump right into this, shall we. Graphics: This game has good graphics for a game with only 100 ratings. It helps with gameplay because it’s bright and pretty dang easy to understand. It’s definitely more better & simpler than all these other bad Asteroids games that are currently in the App Store. I’ll for sure give this a 7/10. Gameplay: It’s hard to master, but again easy to learn. If you’re looking for a challenging game, then this one is for you. Because it’s addicting to play, fun to see, and calm to hear. The gameplay its self is just fine and nice to have since it’s easy to manipulate & again learn. Controls: They’re again simple & noice. Options/Menu: They’re very cool to have and fun to change. Well, in the tradition of Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2 and Back to the Future II, this is a sequel that stands on its own, adds to the original without diminishing it, and is a logical and entertaining progression. ### 5/5 — O Yehh *2019-11-11, version 1.0.4* Has the exact physics of the original...with bossed and a master stroke....a destination, which makes it almost impossible to put down. Extremely annoying touch controls (fully mitigated by using buttons) so yeah ... I don't know what that 6th stage is supposed to do. I mean, I had shoot that thing at least 100 times and nothing happened. However, over half my deaths in the game come from accidentally swiping down and initiating the hyper-warp. It’s a real pain and it makes me want to give up the game. I wish we could turn off hyper-warp....it’s just too easy to accidentally hit it and it ruins the game. ### 5/5 — Nice Work *2019-01-12, version 1.0.4* Happy to support the developer for such a great game. Graphics are sweet retro and easy on the eyes, controls in the touch setting are responsive and easy. Thanks for a simple fun game, really enjoy playing it! Edit... 5 stars still stand but... 2 suggestions to improve the experience: allow progress to be saved so you can pick up where you left off vs. Always starting over. And... Please stop the high score initials entry for every play of the game. Even when I get killed right away with a crappy score it wants me to enter initials. Make it an option or only have it trigger when a new high score is truly achieved. I would suggest an upgrade of adding one ship for every level gotten through without getting vaped. As it stands one has no reason to continue playing if you lose all your lives before advancing to higher levels which is why I rated the game at three stars.
