## What is Alt?

What happens when everyone is stuck in the same time loop, without knowing?

Alt-Frequencies is an audio mystery game where you use the airwaves to open the world’s eyes to the truth. Record, rewind time and broadcast snippets of radio shows to expose radio hosts, conspiracy theorists, politicians, underground activists - and a dog.

By redistributing information, you change what happens in the next 3 minute time loop and impact both news cycles and the lives of the people behind them.

Listen as their personal stories evolve, in a world that seems to stand still.

Features:
- A new kind of narrative game that blurs the lines between the fantastical and the everyday while examining our relationship with mainstream media through the prism of radio stations.
- Built-in accessibility features that make the game available to a wide range of people - including blind and visually impaired players.
- Brought to life by a diverse cast of 20+ amazing voice performers, including TV, podcasts and YouTube personalities such as Jasika Nicole (Fringe, Welcome to Night Vale).
- By the studio behind the critically acclaimed A Normal Lost Phone and Another Lost Phone: Laura’s Story.

A co-production from ARTE, the European cultural network, with Accidental Queens.

### 5/5 — A very good mystery game

*2026-01-18, version 1.3*

I have enjoyed playing Alt Frequencies. The music and actors used are great. It is very accessible. However, when I downloaded it the accessibility was not enabled and I had to get a sighted person to enable it. Maybe it could be enabled from the start and then if the player is sighted they can disable it easily enough, as the TTS gives instructions to double-tap so that everyone knows what to do. Apart from this, Alt Freqencies is a great game and I look forward to playing future accessible productions by this developer. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Incredible gameplay and game design. Interesting story and plot.

*2024-12-22, version 1.3*

Recommend it.

### 5/5 — Amazingly good

*2024-02-23*

This game is super underrated and I absolutely want more. I can say that if you see this, you must download this. It’s super rare to find quality mobile games, let alone something not made super cheaply. To the dev(s) please make more, I absolutely loved this game and I want more story.

### 5/5 — awesome game.

*2023-06-20*

I'm really very analytical, and I understand the message that this game is trying to convey to people.
Many people consider us Conspiracy theorists but there are really things in reality that have no explanation.
I love knowing that this game is strongly connected to reality, a reality we live in where the government is able to silence people who try to expose the truth.
I love the ending where you decide whether to free yourself, or be a prisoner.
Really great job and good job by the developer trying to spread this message to people too bad not everyone can understand it.

### 5/5 — Fantastic but a little underwhelming

*2023-03-10, version 1.3*

I truly love this game and every so often I re-download it to play it again. However I feel like there should be more to it. The ending, while you have a choice for the last two chapters, the second last choice changes basically nothing. I don’t mind endings that are left ambiguous but there’s no real way to get a satisfying ending. Even the last choice goes right to the credits so it doesn’t change much.

### 4/5 — Wanted more

*2022-02-08, version 1.3*

It was a really good game, definitely worth playing. It had a story line that stuck with me and I can't get it out of my head. But it felt too short, and linear.

The game made it seem like there was choice of path early on, but from what I can tell there really wasn’t.

I really, really wish that someday someone makes a game with this format but longer and with branching paths/more choice. It has the potential to be a stellar game, but it felt like it didn’t really live up to its own potential.

I would still give it a try though. It’s a lot of fun, and I don’t regret playing it. It really sticks with you.

### 5/5 — Awesome game!

*2021-05-28*

I just downloaded this game two days ago and on the night I downloaeed it, I was up until 2:00 AM playing it! LOL! I love this game a lot and I think you should keep up the amazing work!

### 5/5 — Intriguing game

*2020-11-07, version 1.3*

Another brilliant game by this studio, so much thought goes into their games and they really are miles ahead of most App Store offerings. It took me a few minutes to get my head around the radio layout but now I’m loving it. In some ways it’s similar to unmemory in which you have to piece together the story and work out which information is important but the satisfaction when you’ve progressed is unmatched. These really are talented developers and I’m glad I have the opportunity to enjoy their hard work.

### 5/5 — What happens in the end?

*2020-08-03*

Please please please make an end, other than that, great game.

### 2/5 — Not worth the price (Spoilers!)

*2020-04-03*

Great concept, I really thought it would be worth the price! But I finished it in a few hours. And a lot of the plot points were just pointless or left open. Like Jenny’s dad being “Winston”. There was no explanation as to what led to his disappearance, or what happened to him. Same with Michelle. Overall I was left feeling like I watched half a season of a tv show.
