I also love the avatar feature that lets me really visualize what the outfit looks like all together. However, once I added more items to my virtual closet, it began using only items from my closet and, due to the limitations, suggesting many terrible outfits. I asked the help bot how I could go back to getting inspiration about what to BUY and not just what to use in my preexisting closet, and it suggested that I could direct their AI feature to stick to clothes I don’t own. However, it’s annoying to find the AI feature and ask that every time. The app has lost usefulness for me because it’s go-to is to suggest outfits only using my preexisting items, resulting in really poor outfit ideas that make me question their entire sense of styling to begin with. I really wish there was an easy way to have it keep suggesting new items I can buy to match what I’m uploading. ### 5/5 — Terrific closet app! *2026-08-26, version 2.2.2* I’ve been using Alta for 3 months now and find it super helpful for planning outfits and remembering what’s in my closet. The AI has suggested a bunch of combinations that I hadn’t considered. I’m wearing a much larger part of my wardrobe now. Adding all my clothes was faster than I thought it would be (it took like 4 hours to add all my clothes, shoes, and jewelry) and the “prettify” feature makes the clothing look so good, like a real product photo.
