## What is ALTE?

ALTE brings your whole day into one place — meals, workouts, sleep, and progress, connected.

Most trackers do one thing. ALTE shows how they fit together: how training, eating, and rest move your progress over time. A fasting app knows when you ate nothing; ALTE knows what you ate the rest of the time. Plan with intention, log with less friction, and see the bigger picture.

LOG EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS
• Meals with calories and macros — search a food database, scan a barcode, snap a photo, or just describe what you ate, and save your go-to meals and recipes
• Strength workouts with sets, reps, and weight, plus class and flexibility sessions
• Sleep with a quality rating, water, and body weight
• Body measurements, and the vitamins and supplements you take each day
• Intermittent fasting — a timer with common schedules, or your own eating window for each day of the week
• Day notes, tags, and an effort rating to capture how each day actually felt

SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE
• An activity heatmap that turns consistency into something you can see
• Trends for calories, sleep, weight, and training over weeks and months
• Insights that connect the dots — how your sleep, training, and eating actually move together
• Supplement adherence and streaks, so a routine you meant to keep doesn't quietly slip
• Progress photos to track change the numbers miss
• Export everything you've logged, any time

BUILT FOR LESS FRICTION
• Try everything free for 7 days — no account, no payment details
• Fast logging designed to get you in and out
• Reminders for workouts, meals, water, weigh-ins, and supplements
• Home screen widgets, plus an Apple Watch app and complications — log and glance from your wrist, including a live fasting timer on your Lock Screen
• Works with Apple Health — steps, workouts, and more stay in sync
• No account required — your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud, and syncs securely across all of them
• Daily backup to your own iCloud Drive — put everything back if you reset, switch devices, or delete something by accident

ROUTINES THAT STICK
Save the workouts and meals you repeat, and build the routines that connect them — so the right thing to log is always one tap away. Plan ahead when you want to: schedule workouts and meals in advance, then confirm them as you go.

Whether you're cutting, bulking, training for something, or just trying to stay consistent, ALTE keeps the full picture in one calm, focused place.

Start with 7 days of everything, free — no account and no payment details. After that, ALTE Pro keeps you logging, with a monthly or annual subscription that includes a free trial. Your data is always yours: when the preview ends, everything you've logged stays right where it is, and you can view, export, and back it up any time.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.3 — 2026-09-10

Faster meal logging.

Recent now shows everything you've logged, not just what's already in your library. A barcode you scanned or a food you identified by photo is in there too, even if you never saved it. And the same food logged with different serving sizes collapses into one row instead of three.

• Frequent, a new section ranking the foods you log most often over the last 30 days
• Quick Add, for something you only need to log once — type a name and a calorie count — macros are optional — and log it without saving anything to your library
• Tapping "+" on a meal now logs into that meal. It used to preselect Breakfast whichever one you tapped.

Your last fast stays on screen.

Ending a fast used to leave nothing behind — the Today card dropped straight back to counting down to the next one. It now shows what the fast came to, and the fasting screen keeps the duration and end time in full.

Also in this update:

• Fixed a delete button on a logged meal that could stop responding until you reopened ALTE
• Deleting a quick-added meal now removes the food with it, instead of leaving the name in Recent for a month

### 1.4.2 — 2026-09-06

ALTE now speaks French!

• Full French (Canada) localization throughout the app
• Started your fast a little earlier? You can now edit the start time while a fast is active

Plus a few small fixes and refinements to keep everything running smoothly.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-09-03

Ending a fast now asks when it ended, and you can correct the times on past fasts.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-03

Intermittent fasting.

Start a fast from your iPhone or your wrist, and ALTE keeps the timer — through a locked screen, a closed app, and midnight.

A fasting app knows when you ate nothing. ALTE already knows what you ate the rest of the time — so the fast and the food finally sit in the same log.

• Pick a common schedule, or set your own eating window for each day of the week
• A live timer on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you don't have to open anything
• A ring on the Today screen, a full timer screen behind it, and history with your streak and averages
• Fasting stages as the hours pass, describing what each is commonly associated with — general information, not medical advice
• Log a meal mid-fast and ALTE offers to end the fast at that time, rather than quietly deciding for you
• On your Apple Watch too, with a complication for your watch face
• Off by default — turn it on in Profile ▸ Intermittent Fasting

Backup and restore.

ALTE now saves a daily backup of everything you've logged to your own iCloud Drive — and can put it all back.

Apple Health can give back your weight, workouts, and sleep. It can't give back your recipes, custom foods, templates, or supplement history. This can.

• On by default, with nothing to set up
• Choose whether to include photos, and how many days to keep
• Restoring adds back whatever is missing and leaves everything already on your iPhone exactly as it is
• Find it in Profile ▸ Backup

Also in this update:

• The Apple Watch app now sends you to your iPhone when there's no account yet, instead of showing an empty day with a leftover step count

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-17

Try before you subscribe
ALTE now opens straight into the full app. Everything is free for 7 days — no account, no payment details, nothing to redeem. When the preview ends your data stays exactly where it is: you can still browse every entry, see your trends, and export the lot. Only adding new entries asks for a subscription.

Insights
Progress now tells you what your log actually shows. ALTE checks your numbers against your own targets, works out which way each metric is moving and how much to trust it, and surfaces what tends to go together. Your top five findings come first, the rest are a tap away.

Supplements
A new Supplements section in Progress with adherence and streaks, a supplements card on Today, and reminders you can switch on for individual doses. Miss one and ALTE now tells you which — and offers to do something about it.

Today
Cards tap through to where they live. Log a weight or a measurement without leaving the screen — the measurements card now has its own quick add, and if you haven't set any up yet, the same button gets you started. Plus a tighter header, and step counts that refresh when you come back to the app or the day rolls over.

Food logging
Back-date one food and the next starts at that time instead of resetting to now. The food library stays open when you log from Meals, servings keep their own labels and units instead of being flattened to grams, and barcode scans no longer mix per-serving and per-100 g values.

Reminders
Weigh-in reminders, and tapping any reminder now takes you to the right screen.

iPad
The sidebar wears the ALTE mark instead of plain text.

Also
24 tag colours and 48 icons, quality ratings on manually logged sleep, Apple Watch complications in your own water unit, steadier iCloud sync, VoiceOver labels across the new screens, and corrected French wording on the onboarding and Apple Watch screens.
