Long-winded in places e.g. instead of being able to order 2 of something you have to do it twice, one after the other. No dedicated option to get to the cart. Also doesn’t store you debit card details so it’s frustrating as hell when getting to payment stage. It never remembers who I am and who carries a card these days? Apple Pay or at least remember my card details. Also, you can’t browse the menus or select food without a table number (whilst you’re in the queue). If you put an example number in you then have to redo your order when you do get an actual table number. I wonder how much custom you lose because of the app? ### 1/5 — Spam and terrible design *2021-07-27, version 1.0.3* We had to download this to eat at our chosen place. It’s a terribly designed app. Unintuitive, badly designed and spamy. This could be a webpage and it would be better. I’ve started getting spam notifications as well. Does not even have Apple Pay integration. Our orders deleted so many times. Creating an account takes too long, no auto fill and doesn’t allow Apple suggestions on password. No integration with other account types like google for fast creation. Interface is clunky. Adding things to the basket is difficult and unclear. ‘Submit’ as button text for what is actually ‘Add’?! Then the hurdle of having to input all your card details. I get businesses have had to adapt quickly but surely something off the shelf would have been better. This feels very amateur designed and built. Saw a group of older blokes come into mackie mayor and sit down at the table next to me and they all left after 5 minutes. This is actively a barrier to people ordering with ease. ### 1/5 — This is so painful to use *2021-06-24, version 1.0.3* Just switch to something like bar butlr. Get a new one. *2024-09-13, version 1.0.3* For venues where you’re encouraged to order via the app, you’d think it would be worth investing in a decent, user friendly app. Frustrates me every time I go for food or drinks, and to be honest probably stops me going more. ### 1/5 — Awful *2024-04-09, version 1.0.3* Every single time I use this app, it’s drives me insane, crashes, slow, wipes your progress, and does not respond. Most recently, the guy at the till said I had to use the app; I said it wasn’t working and was about to explain why and he just said “I believe you, it’s a horrible app”.. ### 1/5 — Awful app! Temperamental and long *2022-02-25, version 1.0.3* So temperamental when using it’s a fingers crossed moment when you order hoping it works… says it uses Apple Pay etc yet does not give options to do so when paying! Useless! ### 1/5 — Shocking attempt at an app *2022-02-06, version 1.0.3* Absolutely bone chilling experience. As others have said, no auto fill and have to manually enter data. Even copy and paste from a password manager like 1Password causes payments to fail. Nice that they have icons for all the payment services they don’t use on the checkout screen. Seems daft to have the Apple Pay logo but no functionality. Probs for show I guess. If they’re going to continue enforcing this app, it needs serious work. ### 1/5 — Shockingly bad app. *2022-01-18, version 1.0.3* Very bad user experience, slow to respond. Auto fill is dodgy. No Apple Pay or PayPal/simple payment method. A laborious slog through a confused interface. My friend opted to leave rather than waste more time. I know at least 4 others who don’t visit as often because using the app to order is off putting. So, bottom line is you are losing business! I am blind and need to use this when visiting Altrincham Food Market. If I go into the app where the various foods are the app just says “image take away” for each place. What use is this? The developer needs to understand that to develope an app for ios it needs to work with Voice Over Apple’s built-in Screen Reader for those of us with a visual impairment. Thanks Nick Johnson.
