### 3/5 — Found differences

*2026-07-24, version 2.2.8*

I find the calculations are quite off proteins are pretty close, but the fats and carbs are off quite a bit and I’m Saying this because I spent a weekend writing a food journal and write off the containers, calculating calories, carbs, fats, and proteins, and there was quite a bit of difference

### 3/5 — Ring not holding charge

*2026-07-24, version 2.2.8*

My ring is no longer holding a charge for the full day. I reached out and all they give you his tips. Very frustrated that I spent all this money on something that will not hold a charge.

### 4/5 — A lot of information

*2026-07-10, version 2.2.5*

The app and its caloric intake tracking feature are impressive tools that offer detailed insights into your health. It monitors various aspects including your sleep patterns, food consumption, exercise routines, and more, providing a comprehensive overview of your well-being. It typically takes about a week to become familiar with its functionalities and navigation. Once you start using the device's ring notification system, you may find yourself resetting your routines and setting new health goals. Overall, this technology has significantly improved my health management. I had severely underestimated my caloric intake during breakfast, realizing that calories can accumulate rapidly throughout the day.

### 3/5 — Food generator is not working

*2026-05-23, version 2.2.1*

I cannot generate me as. Continues to say it is catching up

### 5/5 — Overall really great

*2026-05-18, version 2.2.0*

I love the guidance this app gives. Also, the check mark when objection is complete! This app does have some flaws, however every time I have had a malfunction, I have had incredible customer service. The turnaround for a resolution is very timely as well. I highly recommend this company for holistic driven health 🙌🏻

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2026-05-15, version 2.2.0*

I’ve only used it for about a month now and I’m already sleeping so much better and am feeling way less stressed! The workouts are really fun and have a lot of variety. Even with just using it for a month, it has been worth every penny.

### 5/5 — A program that works

*2026-05-09, version 2.1.12*

From a lady who has had two gastric bands and reversals, a gastric sleeve, been on whole 30, Paleo, Weight Watchers, Gundry, Plant, paradox, and keto and struggled to lose every ounce this program has done wonders for me both mentally and physically. I have lost weight consistently, my body is less stressed and I actually believe I will get to a healthy weight for the first time ever on any plan. I love every type of workout although I do wish they would add rebounding. The app is easy to use all around It’s just a great program.

### 4/5 — Could be 5 stars😉💕🌴

*2026-04-29, version 2.1.11*

Awesome App, just waiting to see if they add the option for adding conditions like POTS, EDS, MCAS, & others. As well as adding vibration plate & rebounding for exercise. Once they do they’ll get 5 stars from me!!!

### 4/5 — Trying something new

*2026-04-07, version 2.1.6*

I like the idea of having workouts & nutrition geared towards my dna. The workouts are easy to follow & the app is easy to maneuver as well. My only issue is the workouts vids tend to freeze multiple times while the music in the background keeps playing. I wait a min or two before i’m forced to end the session & then go back to it. If they can fix that issue, the app & science behind it would be great.

### 2/5 — It’s something

*2026-03-26, version 2.1.6*

The program itself is not all that for what you pay. And the app itself doesn’t work half the time neither does the hardware (ring). Customer support is subpar. If I could go back in time I would have never signed up.

### 5/5 — Love

*2026-03-25, version 2.1.5*

Still learning all AlterMe has to offer but love it so far!

### 5/5 — Helpful resource

*2026-03-25, version 2.1.4*

Easy to use app provides valuable data insights to sleep and heart rate through monitoring the AlterMe ring. Collects meal and workout info. Offers several workout and meditation video options. Have enjoyed this tool to orchestrate my day with personalized guidance for eating and exercising. I’d highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Get your body on track with Alter Me.

*2026-03-24, version 2.1.4*

Im a 55 yr old woman and nothing has kept me more motivated and focused than this app directly linked to my DNA. I feel confident knowing it’s backed by science so it continues to work just for me! Love love love that’s it’s NOT A subscription!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is glitchy with bugs

*2026-09-03, version 2.2.16*

Worked for about 2-3 weeks and went downhill. I got this with the ring included. Everything was fine, then the app really started to slow down and would freeze constantly. Then it started not tracking anything at all. I have power-cycled my ring, did a factory reset, connected and disconnected it from the app and no progress. And I know it’s tracking something because when I do workouts, it’s able to sense my pulse, but I can get any sleep data or steps data which is exactly why I got the program. Also with the meals, you tell it’s you don’t want certain foods included and it still recommends me that stuff even though I’m allergic. If I could get my money back, I would.

### 1/5 — Feeling scammed

*2026-08-13, version 2.2.12*

I bought the test for $30, get daily emails to download the app and now my results are ready. Can’t access the results without talking to an advisor. The app is an ad for their pricy subscription plans. No appointments available in the scheduling link. No response in the customer support chat.

### 1/5 — Haven’t been able to login

*2026-07-24, version 2.2.9*

Where is customer service? I have been trying to log into this app since 6 AM. I have called customer service twice once I was hung up on and the last one I was on hold for 45 minutes and could no longer hold on. I was also tried to contact the company through chat. I was left waiting on chat for 37 minutes. I still have yet to speak to anyone. And it is now after business hours and no one will be back till Monday. So at this point, I have a fancy flashy ring, and an app that doesn’t work. And don’t forget the nonexistent customer service.

### 1/5 — Not Worth It!

*2026-07-07, version 2.2.4*

It’s not worth the cost! The DNA part is not as informative as they lead you to believe. The mirror connection to the tracker is hit or miss. Do not finance! You get stuck in a never ending payment. They will not process returns.

### 1/5 — App good; ring TERRIBLE

*2026-07-04, version 2.2.3*

I love the guidance this app gives. I have had AlterMe for 193 days and my 2nd ring has died. I’m very disappointed because the app is so good but it matters none if the ring doesn’t do what it should do for a span of time. Now I have another lull in my data.

### 1/5 — Terrible product, shady business practices

*2026-04-09, version 2.1.6*

For the first 10 months that I had this ring, it had to be replaced three times. I spent a lot of time trying to deal with customer service. The app was also very glitchy and I finally requested a refund and was told that I would get it but never received it. I discovered that this so-called refund was a credit app applied to my balance owed. So basically, I spent a lot of money for a product that I returned but my “refund” went to the company. this is one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with an app and with so-called customer service and I highly that if you’re looking for a ring tracker and exercise program, do NOT use this product.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2026-03-26, version 2.1.5*

I’ve been a member since September and unfortunately this is an expensive lesson learned.
This ring sucks, it’s bulky and I am constantly moving it to different fingers because it gets in the way of grabbing or holding stuff. And I was unable to return it because they only give you 30 days per their return policy. Ugh

And seemingly the ring doesn’t recognize any of my workouts that are done outside of the app. For example I’ve been doing Pilates and swimming and I take walks and it doesn’t register any of it. Disappointed!

Finally the financial company the makes sure they get your money is also a joke. I reached out to them to let them know I am unable to register my account online using any browser or any device. And all I received from them, is a message telling me how to register my account, and nothing addressing the errors I sent to them.

### 1/5 — 3+ weeks and counting without signal working

*2026-03-02, version 2.0.4*

Sadly I am over this program. I have had very little success with keeping the wrist signal connected to the app. I have gone 3+ weeks now with 0 steps reported. When it was working I lost 18lbs in 5 weeks. As soon as the ability to track my steps I plateaued. I’m going to look into other alternatives at this point. I did get a small refund of the large amount I paid into the program so that helped temporarily. Now it’s time to move onto something else.

### 1/5 — Useless for me

*2025-11-18, version 1.34.1*

The ring itself is huge and ugly. Not to mention heavy. I have to take it off periodically as it interferes with my work.

The workouts are not suited for me. Maybe if I was 20 years younger and didn’t have two total knee replacements, but I had no trouble losing weight then. Better apps out there for modified workouts to meet my needs.

The nutrition aspect is useless. Using the camera it comes up with wacky macros and calories. I would have to adjust each one so not “easy” to track my food. Better apps out there for that.

Step Count is way off. At least less than half what I do daily. I have another wearable that is more accurate.

Sleep seems to be the only feature that is accurate - when it records sleep. Missed one night already.

A week in and I know this is not for me. If I could rate a zero I would

### 1/5 — Very disappointed

*2025-06-30, version 1.29.2*

Pushes cardio and I can see why the ring is completely inaccurate when trying a strength training session. Very over priced, ring is extremely extremely CHEAP, no chance of lasting very long at all. Also I do not believe the dna test is real

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The New Me

*2026-08-23, version 2.2.14*

Starting Alter, I never thought I’d be able to find information about my overall health with begging my doctors or going to see a personal trainer. This allows me to find nutrition and exercise that is absolutely tailored to me and I am finally making progress of weight loss, learning more about nutrition and my own nutritional needs, and feeling stronger. Taking this leap to start this program has made me fall in love with exercise again and moving towards a healthier me.

### 5/5 — Takes the guessing out of the equation!

*2026-08-09, version 2.2.11*

I was on GLP-1 shots and went off of them because of the side effects. I lost 40 pounds but gained 20 right back. I chose Alter me because my plan is built around me. It adjusts as my body does and the ring is my guardian. It tells the system how my body is doing and the system tells me what my body needs every day. It’s pretty great! You just have to have the courage to follow the plan. Work outs start you out slow and they grow with your strength and diet changes.

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-08-09, version 2.2.11*

i’m on my first day of wearing it. The only thing that is disappointing is there’s no scan for your food so you have to either dictate or do a photograph for your food. The other thing that is a setback is you can’t manually adjust your step goal. For instance, I’ve been working with medical providers for the last year to up my steps due to an injury and topped off at 4300 steps. Things that I do like. The input about my DNA and how that’s connected to working out and my food. I like the relaxation. I’m really looking forward to getting the information about what kind of exercise I do, whether it’s rest, cardio, or strength training.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-08, version 2.2.11*

Love the whole system! I haven’t been able to stay consistent with my fitness until Alter. It’s pretty amazing

### 5/5 — Workouts

*2026-07-31, version 2.2.11*

Love the micro workout sessions. Learning a lot from my sleep patterns. Getting better daily. Thank you AlterMe!

### 5/5 — Health hub

*2026-07-23, version 2.2.8*

I like the fact that my steps are measured, my food is logged and I get direction each day based on my readiness score. The workouts are in app when I want them. I can log my own workouts too. I can log my weight and so basically it’s a hub for my health. I want to become healthier as I age not the reverse and I feel like this provides a dashboard where I can objectively do that.

### 5/5 — Change

*2026-07-21, version 2.2.7*

Alter has changed my life
I am in the best condition of my life
Love the completeness of the integration of disciplines of activity mental and nutty all link to my DNA

### 5/5 — Pulled the trigger!

*2026-05-30, version 2.2.1*

I added the mirror/screen at the last minute and I am so glad I did! I’m self motivated so I can workout at home. Once it was setup I loved it!! It’s awesome!! I’m not paying for a membership which are so expensive now. I’m saving time commuting. I love the ring but I think it could be even more robust! I was sick so I couldn’t work out and I couldn’t enter it. The Ring works great and I love the details I get. I was shocked that I shouldn’t be doing high impact and high intensity cuz that’s all I’ve done my whole life. I just didn’t look like I was fit. I had a layer of fat. Now I know to listen to my DNA and relax about my routine. It’s awesome actually. I’ll keep you posted !

### 5/5 — Alter me

*2026-05-26, version 2.2.1*

I have a lot to learn, but I’m loving it. I’m extreme beginner.

### 5/5 — Sucks

*2026-05-19, version 2.2.0*

The so called AI scanner has a mind of its own. 95% of the time I’m not able to scan my food. I have to keep trying. I have an IPhone 16 and it says it works best with IPhone 17. My software is updated. Don’t have the funds to go and get a new IPhone now.
