This is a clueless oversight for an otherwise good credit union. ### 3/5 — Nice app *2025-08-26, version 2.7.0* App works as it should. Result... could not deposit the cheque. This app repeatedly makes using it difficult, even down to the location of the logout button. ### 3/5 — It’s ok but they do not support Apple Pay *2025-04-15, version 2.6.0* The app has improved over the years but still feels dated. Using the Alterna Savings app is just pure hell. You either have to detach it from the keyboard, or try and use it in landscape - but you have to awkwardly type sideways to do so. It’s ridiculous and it’s been this way a long time. I like Alterna but the technical side is ridiculous, because of this problem and many others. They’re not keeping pace with tech in general. And it’s the ONLY app I have that doesn’t work in landscape. I spoke to someone at the help number who was unable to resolve the problem. The app in other words is next to useless, so much so that I was seriously considering moving my banking elsewhere. I never had any problems at all when I banked with Pace credit Union before it was taken over by Alterna. ### 2/5 — Was ok *2024-08-18, version 2.4.0* I can’t log into the ap. It says my information is incorrect. Then I log into the website, same info, no problem. So basically, this ap is useless. Easy to use *2024-01-17, version 2.2.2* Although I agree with some issues mentioned in these reviews (which is why I gave 4 stars) like when you do an updates some ppl can no longer log into the app but this has happened to me only twice since the app was launched and all you need to do reset your password, delete the app and reinstall. As for the fact that on iPads it doesn’t change to landscape, it’s an inconvenience but personally, not a reason for me to give one star. This is the easiest banking app to use and honestly, that should count for something. It’s simple, clear and super easy. Someone else mentioned the bank itself not being good eventhough this is the rating for the app and not the bank itself but I 100% disagree with that statement. This bank’s service has not changed since it’s no longer a credit union and nobody is forced to use a certain bank.
