Alti-Barometer Pro uses your iPhone’s or Watch’s sensor to automatically and continuously record your barometric pressure and altitude. Even while your iPhone is in standby or you're using other apps, Alti-Barometer will seamlessly process and record pressure data in the background. Using beautiful interactive graphs, our app shows you barometric pressure trends over hours and days to help you understand which way the weather may be headed.

Our app supports a broad range ofl auto-updating widgets and Watch face complications. It also supports Apple’s Live Activities to let you see real-time pressure, altitude, and compass direction. And to make sure you don’t get caught off guard, the app’s Baro Alert capability automatically notifies you of large changes in barometric pressure.

This app is everything most others claim to be. The free version provides all of the core functionality you’d realistically need, and the subscription is absolutely worth it if you want the additional features. No ads, excellent Apple Watch support, barometric pressure alerts, and a developer who clearly cares about his product. Well done.

I downloaded this app on my iPad, just trying different apps in hopes of finding one I liked which would record trends. Out of all the apps I tried, this one is my favorite. I just downloaded it on my phone so I can keep track of trends both at home, and at work, and keep them separate. I absolutely love the app and it works great!

磯釣りとは、駐車場から徒歩片道30分〜1時間の山道を歩いて釣り場に到達し、そこの岩場に立って釣りをするスタイルです。
このアプリでは、特に気圧の変化や傾向が分かりやすく高精度に表示されます。強い低気圧を伴った寒冷前線による暴風雨の到来を明瞭な赤い矢印で知らされたことが数度ありました。その直後に別のアプリで天気図を確認し裏付けを取り、釣りや山行の計画を変更したこともありました。
watchのコンプリケイションでは常にAlti-Barometer Proを表示させており、起床後など、一日のうち数回はこのアプリのアイコンをタップして過去48時間の気圧変化をチェックする習慣ができました。タップしなくても、気圧数値がひと目見て分かり、また、アイコンに常時表示される2本の矢印によって気圧変化の傾向を直観的に認知できます。この営みだけでも、日々の生活に楽しみを与えてくれます。その上、趣味の登山や釣り、旅行などに大変有効とあっては、人に薦めない理由などありません。数百円を課金してプレミアムユーザー登録していますが、安いものです。製作者の方によるユーザーサポートも大変親切で、使い方についての質問や助言を、これまで沢山対応してもらいました(英語で)。 痒いところに手の届く細やかなアップデートも絶えず成されており、多くの人に推薦できるアプリです。

I mainly use this app for solo hiking, climbing and rock fishing.
Rock fishing means walking 30 minutes to an hour from the parking area along a mountain trail to reach the fishing spot, then standing on rocky shores to fish.

This app displays atmospheric pressure changes and trends with high accuracy and clarity. On several occasions, it warned me of an approaching storm caused by a strong cold front with a low-pressure system, using clear red arrows. Immediately after that, I checked weather charts in another app to confirm the situation and changed my fishing or mountaineering plans accordingly.

I always display Alti-Barometer Pro as a complication on my Apple Watch Ultra 2. After waking up and a few times throughout the day, I tap the icon to check pressure changes over the past 48 hours, this is fun! Even without tapping, I can see the pressure value at a glance, and the two arrows shown on the icon intuitively indicate pressure trends. This routine alone adds enjoyment to my daily life.

On top of that, it is extremely useful for hobbies such as hiking, fishing, and traveling—there is no reason not to recommend it. I paid a few hundred yen to become a premium user, and it is absolutely worth it. The developer’s user support is very kind, and they have answered many of my questions and provided advice (in English). Frequent thoughtful updates that address user needs are also a big plus.

I highly recommend this app to many people.

Do you think it would be possible to add ambiant temperature graphs using the watch second sensor? That’s another thing Apple Watch misses despite having the sensor..

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! I initially wrote the app because I too missed the features of my ABC watch (a Suunto). I would be happy to add a temperature sensor graph but unfortunately, there is no way for an app to get temperature data from the operating system at this time. On the bright side, my app does something that no ABC watch ever did which is to measure wind speed with just the iPhone’s or Watch’s sensors.
