## What is Altimeter?

See your altitude the moment you open the app. Record every meter you climb. Works with no signal at all.

REAL-TIME ALTITUDE
· A huge, sunlight-readable number
· Good / Fair / Poor confidence badge — know how much to trust it
· Honest precision: never shows decimals it can't back up
· Relative oxygen availability estimate for high-altitude trips — not blood oxygen or medical data

ELEVATION GAIN, DONE RIGHT
· One tap records ascent, descent, highest, lowest, and duration
· Barometer + GPS fusion with automatic weather-drift correction
· Smart noise filtering: standing still never adds fake ascent
· Keeps recording with the screen locked; auto-recovers if interrupted

ALTITUDE CURVE
· Live time–altitude chart while you climb
· Scrub through past climbs point by point

ACHIEVEMENT CARDS
· Turn a summit into a beautiful shareable card with your stats and curve

MOUNTAIN LEADERBOARDS
· Every mountain gets its own board — fastest time wins
· Strictly opt-in: don't post, and the app stays fully offline
· No sign-up: app-scoped iCloud identity, pick a nickname
· Remove your results anytime; touch and hold to report content

WHY ALTIMETER
· Core features work fully offline — deep wilderness, airplane mode, doesn't matter
· No ads, no accounts, no tracking: altitude, location, and hike records stay on your phone by default; leaderboard results and feedback are sent only when you choose
· One small one-time purchase unlocks everything. No subscription.

Free: live altitude and full recording. Pro: unlimited history and card export.
